Again, can you afford to spend $100+ to replace a BS every time you lose one? Or say $25 for a Ret?

For the record I said I have no problem with ships being sold…I didn’t say I’d buy them.
If I don’t want the PLEX and SP for 24, 99 and don’t mind grinding I buy from “you” Industrialists but even if I buy the pack, I still have PLEX to convert into isk and I can then buy ships and modules from the Market.
Packs aren’t there to circumvent the Market, contrary to what the hysterical posters have said in this thread. Look at it as a supplement to the Market and players’ choice.

well… someone dident get to sell a retriever cause you got it from ccp directly isntead. thats a circumvention of the market id say
I can’t argue with that but there is a sliding scale going on here. If CCP sells 1 Retriever pack over this sale, meh, no worried. If they sell 5000 then yes, we have an issue.

CCP gives me the choice to circumvent the Market at my leisure, whenever it suits me, and I thank them for it.
That “someone” you memtion will just have to adapt and htfu or decide EVE isn’t for him. It goes for the whiners who complain about game machanics so it goes for those players deluded enough to think that EVE has a player-driven Market. There is no such thing as “player-driven” in MMOs since any game company can and has seeded their Market.
i will say. im pacifistic as frick wich is why im trying to not be crazy and screaming that people are trolls cause they disagree or anything but i kinda get why those that are mad passionate about eve. wich is a game most of us here love. are lossing their ■■■■ att these packs potantialy apearing. the market as said by ccp themselves is very sacred to the core of eve. the reason people care is the value in the fact we build the things that people use. if that no longer matters. things might get mad stale and boring.

well… why not jsut buy some plex? and sell those and then buy stuff from the market?
Players can do that now and I have.
So if I can buy PLEX for cash to buy ships I don’t see why I shouldn’t be allowed to spend that cash on a pack.
…and we’ve come full circle. Packs are not the issue as long as there are no bonuses. It’s the quantity of packs sold that would be the issue.
When this promo is done in April(?), we’ll look back and see the effect on prices for Rets…that should be telling to a degree.
well… the problem isent the using of rl cash to buy plex. but to buy the ship itself and skip the whole process of either building it. or buying from someone that did build it.
You mean skip the whole process of mining, hauling, grinding and getting ganked in the process for two weeks or buying an overpriced ship from another player? You betcha.
I’d rather give money to CCP for a pack knowing it will help the Devs than spend my money → PLEX → isk giving it to a player who just sold me a ship at 30% markup over the average. Yes. At least the Devs are working to maintain the game I play but what does the player do besides dreaming of trillions of isk then use that isk to make/buy ships to get his jollies ganking other players?
…how about this. you dont buy the pack. and i get you a retriever for just 25m isk?
accualy maybe a proc would be better those retrievers are gonna be glowing target markers for a while

@RainReaper I may just take you up on that if you include the modules + rigs 
if you want mods and rigs with that its gonna cost you a bit more. 30m already lossing atleast 30% in walue selling the hull itself for so cheap man xD
especialy cause that retriever dosent even have any rigs
