I absolutely love how this is pretty much just a long winded way of saying “sorry we know you don’t like it but we made enough money on it to not care what your saying”

I case CCP is looking what a player does when you ****** the game like the last 2 years: i unsubbed all accounts (12) and will not logon. I am done with CCP, trust is gone.
Complete BS. The math on the Prospector pack shows you’re wrong on so many levels.
$25 USD for the Prospector pack gives you a 53m ISK ship, and a few million ISK for skills and the fit.
This shorts the new player at least 350 million ISK versus buying the PLEX, selling it on the market, and buying everything from the market directly, or roughly $10 USD that you’re pocketing.
Are you admitting to not having meetings that you’re supposed to already be hosting with the CSM?
Why are you NOT having quarterly meetings like you’re supposed to be having? And don’t blame COVID… Zoom, Cisco WebEx, Microsoft Teams, GoTo Meeting, and Google all have ways for you to collaborate online and remotely.
I’m glad I’m wearing boots… this post proves the fecal matter is getting deep.
Supply and demand economics indicate that other players benefit when you unsub your accounts, so your loss is actually our gain.
Personally have no issue with a limit purchase ship package.
Yiu get a very basic T1 fitted mining barge, that can only be purchased once per account. And i do mean very basic T1 fitted (1x T1 strip miner and 1x T1 ice).
The fact its limited to one purchase seems to be glossed over by the haters of this. To be honest i feel this people saw the package and did look any deeper into what it included.
The only players that would use this package to effect the market are the multiboxers with multiple accounts, most new players only have one account so would only purchase one of these packs.
All i see is short-sightedness by some i would have thought had more interest in bring more new blood to eve.
An idea was posted that any bundled ship should be taken from market, but sadly if ccp put npc buy orders for these, the players that complained about this package would use it to their advantage and flood the buy orders to ether get the better isk return.
To be honest is in a no win situation to try and help get new blood into eve as those that don’t want things to change their meta/doctrines/isk makers will hammer them in the media.
A sad day that ccp not given options to this package, instead just an ultimatum to punish them for trying some new, they get hammered for providing player demands and them player hate it, case in point the nullsec blackout years ago.
All i can say is its a sad day for eve.
You dont understand the whole uproar about this then. Where will bethe limit? Because before this they said that its never going to happen. Now that it did where do they stop? Selling fitted Titans?
And who in there right mind would sell an end game item.
CCP isnt Chris Roberts Star Citizen.
As i said a basic T1 fitted ship for an event isn’t an issue.
If it was a T2 or Faction ship fitted with T2 or Blue then we have an issue, but i don’t believe ccp marketing are that stupid as some content makers have made them out to be.
If CCP limits it to only T1 fits that match an current running event and nothing more than 3 tries up the ship tree (that limits to destroyers and mining barges) and basic fitted like the package in question no issue, if you look at what was in the package ot was poorly fitted and aimed for low skilled players. And not to forget a one off purchase per account.
This was in no way an indication of future packages of titans as some have thrown around, thats just scaremongering, and those people should be ashamed of themselves.
Don’t know how many times this has to be covered, but its not one strip miner and one ice harvester… look in the cargo bay FFS.
I know what’s in the package as i brought one to see what everybody was complaining about.
Its a poorly fitted bundle.
They have confirmed to us (and said we can repeat it) that they are removing it from Steam and Epic, but it takes longer to do that because they are third party providers.
We have at least weekly meetings, sometimes twice a week, depending on the schedule and wha is going going on, This commitment was for us to meet specifically with the monetization people, which we have met with before but not on a confirmed basis like they are saying here.
I am really glad there is a resolution as I really don’t want ships for sale in this game because it is a player economy. It takes away from the crafting simulation which is half of the game and will undermine the player economy. This is the bridge you can’t cross-ugh!!!. I would rather see more skins, clothes, etc. Much respect to this Great community.
Which means you didn’t read CCP reply. As they clearly stated that selling ships for $ is staying.
Because I’m one of the few commenters who didn’t join Eve before the dinosaurs became extinct…and can thus genuinely present the newbie experience. And I’ve had less time to become biased !
Actually a lot of us joined around the same time. I think it’s more that you just talk a lot. Like about a 70dps velator. Nobody on the planet cares about a 70dps velator. But for some reason you’ve brought it up probably 7-8 times just that I’ve seen.
The “dinosaurs” had a better pcu. Not sure about retention rate.
A “quarterly meeting to discuss specifically these types of packs and other commerce topics” sounds a whole lot like “we’re going to keep pushing packs like this, but we’ll tell the CSM first”.
Removing the Prospector pack “until this program is in place” sounds a whole lot like “the prospector pack is coming back”.
does this mean, i get a cut of real money from ccp, if i will supply new player packs with ships, that you sell for $$$?
I can accept some small stuff that have no real impact on the market, but when you throw in fully fitted big ships then you start destroying everything the players worked for. Keep these packs cosmetic.
I think your solution (in development is bad) I didn’t mind the barge sold in a pack for real mone as much as I dislike your subsequent ideas. Here is why.
Ok, so Veteran players donate ships. so you can SELL them FOR MONEY to new players idea. While it “keeps the game economy” uninterrupted by suddenly appearing pack-ships, it kinda feels wrong at some Holy Capitalistic level don’t you think? (If you don’t think I can recommend literature)
And second - Why just don’t expand the scope of the Alpha abilities? Simple! Just make the barges or 1 of them an Alpha skill ship. The Procurer for it mines the least and its stronger for example. Its like a Venture x 1,5. Not a biggy on the economy, but cool ship that can actually be used. While we’re at it, Alpha needs some sort of a cloak. As a mostly Alpha player I do WH dives sometimes and any RL event, phone, doorbell, attention to kids or pets leaves my ship and my progress unsecured. Think about something as devs to reduce or avoid that.
Or if those sound too horrible to you, make another ship. Make more T1 ships in every required category that will be Alpha skill ships and will introduce new players to mining barges, battleships, etc etc. Generally the essence of my post is - Increase the range of Alphers abilities / make more ships to fit the new NPE / PX designs that you are implementing which is both admirable and needed.
