i agree with this %100 this game when i started was a real time learn to play NOT a pay to win package. 6 years of gameplay multiple corps and a lot of enjoyment until the last 2 years … however this type of behaviour on behalf of CCP makes this now a pay to win gameplay style one that i DO NOT SUPPORT in the slightest. I’m here to have fun … and yes another player made a good statement make this a reward from the event BUT not a direct fitted ship sale … if you go that route say goodbye to your existing player base CCP … Myself included !

Saw this coming the minute CCP started selling rookie ships and skill books to new players. And every single time I said anything about the slippery slope, I was assured by players and CCP alike that this line would never be crossed.
Well here we are.
Keep in mind that these kinds of decisions aren’t made in isolation. Multiple people at CCP looked at this pack, thought it was a good idea, and gave their stamp of approval.
And when CCP inevitably comes in here to give their boilerplate response, as they have done every time this topic has come up, I don’t know how anyone with a modicum of sense can take them at their word anymore.
It’s sad… it’s really damn sad that CCP’s customers have to fight so hard to preserve EVE’s integrity, because CCP themselves apparently don’t care or can’t be bothered.

Eve forever.
This often made claim by senior members of CCP sounds like nothing but hypocrisy today.
Just thinking about this fills me with anger and sadness.
I can not recommend anyone to start playing Eve Online with good faith anymore. At least not for the reasons I would want to. I can not recommend it to new players because of the great experience they can have. Or the stories they might write for themself.
I will recommend them to play the game NOW. To not wait and try to experience it to the fullest, because I fear this unique piece of video game history will lose it’s all it’s identity to monetization.
