Why? Let’s look at the tactical intel. We all know the demographic of New Eden is aging. If we want EVE to thrive for another two decades, we need fresh meat—I mean, newbros. Anime is no longer a niche basement hobby; it is a massive, dominant cultural layer for the younger generation.
Here is the breakdown of why this would be a massive W for the EVE ecosystem:

Slapping a sleek, mecha-style or anime-inspired Super Kerr-Induced Nanocoating on a Catalyst or a Rifter is the perfect cyno to jump them into the game. Come for the aesthetics, stay for the soul-crushing spreadsheets, gate camps, and TiDi.
Psychological Warfare on the Grid: Imagine the sheer disrespect of dropping a neon-colored, magical-girl themed Avatar on a hostile grid, or defending a Fortizar plastered with anime decals. The psychological damage to your enemies would be incalculable.
A PLEX Printer for CCP: We all know CCP likes to keep the lights on in Reykjavik. The crossover potential here is a literal ISK printer. Fans of this genre are fiercely loyal to their aesthetics and will swipe their credit cards for PLEX faster than a Jita local scammer can “double your ISK.”
It Fits the Lore (Mostly): Caldari already gives off heavy cyberpunk/mecha megacorp vibes, and the Gallente are literally the entertainment and excess capital of the cluster. A holographic anime idol projected off a Citadel fits right into the dystopia! We already have neon Police SKINs and the Deathglow line, so the “muh grimdark immersion” argument is already docked up.
We need to adapt to survive. Let the youth undock their shiny, colorful ships so the rest of us can get rich blowing them up and generating hilarious killmails. It’s content for everyone.
