I still don’t really understand it but I offer my thanks to the judges, who seemed to enjoy my poem, and feel obligated to express my surprise at this turn of events. I meant to enter for years now but never found the time until now.
Also, a thank you to the other contestants as there were some really enjoyable pieces submitted this year.
