The time-frame for payment would be useful to know prior to final bids being placed. Considering the time of day and week the auction is ending, the winner may be incommunicado for some time after its conclusion.

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen,
We’ve continued to receive a variety of bids and some particularly exciting ones, this auction is really hotting up!
We’ve entered the final half day of the auction, which ends tonight, Monday 6th, 23:59 - New Eden Standard.
It’s fair to say that the considerable interest has generated some juicy bids and it will clearly require some time for us to sort out some of the bids into realistic and not-so-realistic categories.
Not to worry though! We’ve engaged the specialist services of the dear old Intaki Bank to help us sort the wheat from the chaff, as the god botherers might say.
Now, as there will be some extra “integrity checking” to be done we will likely announce the final disposition of the auction, and the fate of dear old Orlon, a few days after the bidding deadline closes. It will depend on communications and arrangements made between the ultimate winner and ourselves.
As we are well and truly into the realms of high finance now, we can afford to be patient when it comes to real bids getting their funds to us. Just don’t expect us to be too patient!
Remember that all bidders may adjust their initial bid upwards one time only. There’s still time for some early bidders to put themselves back in the running!

Not necessarily.
His life might not be worth much to his former associates anymore. He was lucky to be bailed out once, but now that this is his second time their patience might be wearing thin.
