Gallentean honour Ms Kim.
Our ways are ritualistic, not fun.
Gallentean honour Ms Kim.
Our ways are ritualistic, not fun.
That sounds like oxymoron, Ms. Tsukiyo.
If one wishes to cultivate enemies, one must simply hate. If one wishes to defeat enemies, one must understand.
If you dismiss other cultures you are depriving yourself of valuable resources to crush not only their fleets, but most importantly their hearts. To know how they think, how they operate, what they consider beautiful and what they despise is valuable intel.
I do not know how things go from where you come from, but where i grew up when a challenge was issued, it was the challenged that decided the time and allowed weapons, and no warrior worth of its name would enter a battle on the dark regarding his opponent.
May the winds protect you from issuing challenges where the contest involves trading blows on top of a person inside a pool, or drinking alcoholic beverages upside down from pressurized containers connected to a cylindrical hose just because you loathe your enemies too much to understand them.
Maâam, we were trained to fight in the water, under water and on the water. In the snow and in deserts. In the space and on the dust. In zero gravity and in gravity that barely allows you to lift your foot.
And that⌠I really have hard time imagining how will it even look like. Nor I can understand how you kill an opponent with this technique⌠Maybe⌠maybe if the pressure in the container is several hundreds of GPa and you point the hose to your opponent, so the jet can pierce them through?
Noo, life is precious, even yours!
Firstly you werenât the only one who felt awkward
Secondly you scoff at the idea of Gallentean Honour. Though I donât associate with the Empires any longer this would be an example of such. i defended you in this instance as it was the right thing to do, irrespective of any other circumstances that may exist between us, or our heritage.
Not all Gallente are the same Ms Kim, I hope one day you come to see that.
Some of my closest friends were forged in the crucible of Caldari Prime in sight of the broken Shiigeru. They were some of the finest warriors to ever live among these stars. I wish I could have been there when it occurred. God bless those who fought there for home and honor, there are few things more worth fighting for. And may those who died have found rest.
You will have to pardon my late response to the topic, but as Iâm sure many of you can agree the life of a capsuleer can sometimes be hectic.
My general opinion about the current situation of Caldari Prime is quite positive. I am beyond proud of my parent corporation for their tactful and honorable actions which have led to the partial restoration of Home back to the Caldari people. Perhaps in the future we may see the entire planet returned to the Caldari people.
Of course I remembered the anniversary of Operation Highlander. I marked the day by temporarily leaving my duties in Syndicate and returning to my birthplanet of Abagawa IV for a private ceremony with a number of my employees. There were, of course, too many names to honor. But of that extensive list, who can ever forget the name Admiral Visera Yanala. A true paragon of what it means to be Caldari, surely. May she forever tread peacefully and in grace with our Ancestors.
The aftermath of the whole cascade only solidified my support for putting aside our pride in order to advance the safety of our people. In certain Caldari circles, pride is a bastard trait that too many cling on to - it is something seen as necessary to be Caldari and to be strong. Ishukone understood that to protect Home and the future of the people who live there, we had to set aside our pride. And I think I can speak for many people when I say that I am glad Ishukone made that first step.
I suppose now in my current work the whole Caldari Prime situation still influences me. Caldari Prime belongs to the Caldari people. Just as the worlds of Syndicate belong to the Intaki people. Two peoples once, or currently, denied their rightful homes by the same entity. As I humbly look after the colony of Utpattia, a great honor bestowed upon me by I-RED and agreed upon by the elected city council of Atlas, I remember very well to leave ownership of different planets to their rightful owners.
Thatâs not just Caldari, but just about every mass of people of any kind.
Pride can be a wonderful driver to celebrate ad promote a culture, vision of the universe, way of life or whatever. However once that spills over into dismissive condemnation (or worse) of others, pride becomes a dead weight that will drag you down.
Iâm impressed that the gathering I called for has generated this much feedback!
Thank you all for observing this year! We will continue to honor this battle every year in late March!
Hello, I regrettably could not attend, as I was busy with my new lifeâŚsee my other IGS records as to why. I however have flown past Caldari Prime on numerous occasions, and am always surprised to see the places that it fell STILL on fire and burning. Any clue as to when the fires will be extinguished?
I know that the wreckage of Admiral Tobaâs Chimera on Gallente Prime is barely visible after 2 centuries. If you donât know where to look, youâll miss the telltale scars - the area looks like some strange mountain range now, and I think itâs a national park now. One of my favorite areas is known as âThe Bowlâ, where a forest had sprouted up in one of the engine bells over the centuries. Whenever I go though, I still smell the faint scent of burning hydrazine thoughâŚso perhaps itâs STILL burning, only deep below the ground.
Eventually (trademark pending)
Because they donât want your reunification. You tried to force them to stay with you at gunpoint, and they wrote off the relationship completely. Accept it.
While we wonât turn down help in freeing our people, beyond that? We want to be left alone. We donât want your expansionist crap any more than we want the Amarrâs expansionist crap. Stop trying to make everyone into you.
Never. Theyâre molten from the actual planetâs surface.
Well-- even that usually cools eventually, though.
Also, aside from any exposed mantle, there are certain parts of the wreckage that are apt to burn until they run out of fuel, and since whatâs on fire is a titan, that could be a while.
So, Ms. Osynâs not wrong: âEventually.â
Was that the time you were poisoned?
Was that Ava
Was that jello
