A collectable Iten that can be sold or moved to a different character has obviously more intrinsical value then Skins that are simply applyed to the redeeming alt or boosters that expire after a week.
So CCPs product is now less valueable then it used to be and the only “reasoning” i’ve read here so far was Steve Ronuken embarassing himself with ramblings about Skill farmers…
By that reasoning they do work for free because Alpha gifts.

The benefit of having more people to shoot at and potential future paying customers so CCP can keep developing the game is not a bad deal either, but i do still pay for it.
Im not even talking about the daily bag of red dottet garbage - really noone asked for that but since you bring it up why not have the boosters locked from market and expire after 24h - i could use them on my combat alt IN combat instead of having to literally TRASH it to get rid of the stupid red dot on alts without drug skill…

“Automatically Applying awards” is the topic
The CSM Shuttle skin for example is shurely nothing that would crash the economy if i was able to sell it for 50 mil to some dude who starts playing 3 years from now instead of having it automatically applyed to all of my alts, most of whom will never fly any shuttles.
And Currently we get EDENCOM Skillbooks as OMEGA reward wich i really don’t need on all of my Characters and if they are supposed to end up about as expensive as the triglavian skills i don’t think handing them out ar event reward was a good moove annyways. I don’t mind paying someone who put in the effort to get them ingame - thats how its supposed to go. New Stuff should be good profit for the first ones to bring it to the market.
The Daily Omega reward is more similar to Bethesda sending garbage bags to people who pre ordered the collectors edition of Fallout 76
If thats supposed to show CCPs appreciation for my money (“Omega REWARD”) they’re doing it wrong. Im trashing the drugs, i give the bpcs to the indy guy in our corp and the 7 day Skins repeat too often to be effectife advertisement for the NES stuff - auto applying the skin is also useless if i happen to get a nice skin on the wrong character.
Would be much better if i had an actual item, even if it can’t be sold on the market and does expire after 24h at least i coud use it on the correct character. And as i’ve already pointed out using Boosters IN Combat should be a no brainer, instead im forced to trash my “reward” just to avoid eye cancer - words can’t describe just HOW STUPID that is

You seem to not understand what a gift or present actually is. A simple definition of a gift is: “a thing given willingly to someone without payment; a present.”
two things are important here: wilingly and without payment

CCP has decided to give item without being obliged to do so.
CCP don’t receive payment for gifting these items, even though you already have paid a subscription but you have paid for the subscription without the extra gifts.
To me that means you received a gift: an item for free.

How about letting the boosters be applied in space and not have to go to a station to use them.
Also give a button to turn off rewards for the complainers.
There have been plenty of times when I went more than 15 days between docking-up. The inability to redeem these items in space is kind-of a drag. Bye-bye tier 4 needlejack reward.
