That I know little about though, I suppose yes, because the farming grounds are less farmed.
I was more thinking about the value of stuff, but if bounties are your thing then less people stepping on your toes is better for that as well as less people in local.
So if Iām reading you correctly, itās unfortunate that many people are doing pve in the ācompetition for farming grounds and resourcesā sense(along with higher loot availability leading to lower sales price)?
Not in the āthis is killing eve/ sky is fallingā sense?
Very cool. I actually enjoy pve, and am not big into pvp. I figure if I do what I enjoy, it helps supply the pvp crowd with what they need without them having to play the part of the game they donāt enjoy. I like finding things and blowing stuff up for my pay(plus the standing helps to satisfy part of my rp interest since Iām selective about who I work for). Selling loot and salvage(I also really like the salvaging part, I may one day pursue a career as a ninja salvager) is secondary income to me. I like to think of it as an all around win win.
Totally, but Iām definitely going to be moving out of hisec so I can make a lot more money doing what I like. I want to be able to replace several ravens whenever need be.
Ha! With me that usually means āI canāt do the thing I like solo(or 2 box) anymoreā.
Ha. Thatās an entirely rational thing to wish for thatās also impossible to sell to others.
Taking that train of thought to itās logical conclusion, what the individual player should want is total monopoly on the marketable activity that they enjoy doing, while at the same time murderous competition and zero margin in every other field. Itās also the complete opposite of what every other player in the game would want.
So I argue for ships that become easier to replace, by doing activities that are improved to become more fun and less of a grind. I think that would be a direction most players could get behind, but maybe not CCP though.
Make sense. My strategy is to switch to something else once what Iām doing feels like a grind.
For instance, Iāve been running missions gaining standing in order to unlock the Caldari epic arc. After thatās done, I plan on getting back into exploration. Once Iām comfy with that again, I plan on moving on to explo and combat sites in WH space. Then if that gets boring Iāll move on to something else.
No, I really mean it. Why the efforts of getting past or evading another hostile player shouldnāt be considered PvP?
Some of the best PvP action I ever had was this.
It depends, what is the goal for the someone that entered local? What is the goal for the someone docking up?
If I need to guess, more likely that both lost the PvP in that situation.
