Yes! The fact that the Devs don’t seem to realize that scamming is a core mechanic of eve is insane. Trying to make everything “fair” is going to ruin the thrill of EVE.

Ah yes. The “My opinion is more important than everyone else’s so it deserves its own thread” attitude.

That is not what I meant. Do you like scrolling through ridiculously long comments in a thread? I certainly do not. The thread is a discussion with lots of short responses happening, and then instead of the one responding to you, you are faced with an essay 3 pages long… If the site collapsed long threads automatically, that would be okay, but I saw no evidence of that (this is the first time I posted here, so I may just not know about it).

That aside, to some degree at least, I think I put more effort into the post than a lot of the general “people arguing” type of discussion. I did want the post to not be completely lost, but that does not mean I think my opinion itself is worth more than any other well-reasoned opinion. I would have expected anyone else to do the same with text of this length, but maybe that is not usually done around here (?).

It certainly was not my intention to give you or anyone else offense, and I regret if I did.

I do.
Partly becausei know I’m smart enough to adapt and partly because I’m loving the salt from you kids.

The whole “fighting the bots” narrative is plain silly.

A programmer will find a way to adapt just as well as the players and automate the process. Unless you actually hurt the players too.

The 0.01 target is only the tip of the iceberg. Barely a scratch on the paint.

It does feel weird that a 3 month order costs the same as a 1 day order. I’d also be in favor of reducing the Broker Fee and Relist Discount for shorter orders. Oh and I support the change because it adds new costs for unskilled players, thus rewarding skilled pricing choices

I love when people auto aggro on “slippery slope” without any real counter arguments to prove that it is indeed a fallacious interpolation in that specific case. Good Troll. Now roll over.

I’m just a simple salt farmer. I’m here for the tears. And this thread is saltier than the Dead Sea…

There are saltier threads. I give this a 5/10.

What about all those items that people think are junk? Noone will put them on the market now because you have to pay so much just extend the time. Come to find out some of what you think is just junk someone figures out its important for some small niche in the game that people forgot about… It’ll kill the slow moving markets on items. The point is to sell it, not just wait until its your turn.

Don’t need to, here. That would be dignifying trash with more attention than is worth to avoid stepping in it, same as you, kid.

It should be at least 5 significant digits, for the sake of 123.45 prices of small things like ammo and minerals!

Generally, thats what Contracts were used for, people seem to have forgotten they exist

If I don’t want my buy order get fulfilled while I sleep I reduce buy price. After the patch this will cost 0.75% and another 0.75% to move buy order back to the top? I will get really mad soon

I discounted this possibility as too scurrilous to even consider, but even w/o these items, there is still a vast number of buy and sell orders which are not at all competed for as serious trade items - whose orders would be rarely updated.

They just screwed every single player that isn’t already established in the market with that.
