Because I was running a mission on a station with no drones for sale. Since Drones are only for emergencies, I grabbed those. (Good question).
Because It doesn’t help in my mission rotation to any noticeable degree.
If you read the thread I literally stated I forgot them when I loaded up the fit the first time. I use both and have mentioned it.
I CAN extrapolate that. And that means he just made it up and doesn’t run it. That’s fine, but theorycraft will always hold less weight than theorycraft + actual practice. I ran both in actual practice.
So you admit you either don’t know how to control your drones, or how to fill your drone bay. Not exactly great things to admit to when you’re sniping at other people’s fits.
Eh. I’d bet it can replace your Barrage ammo and get you better application and dps.
So you’re sniping my fit for a sin you committed as well. Nice…

Not that I’m one to defend a buffer fit Marauder, I feel the need to point out that one of the OP’s goal was to LOWER the cost of the fit, unlike yours which is more expensive than the fit he was trying to shave costs off.
But what’s the point of lowering the cost of a 2B fit to start with ?
If you want to lower the cost, fit another ship with >1B in modules.
I’m not saying buffer marauders are bad, actually I already used a lot of buffer fits (but without purger since that definitely is not a buffer fit) before marauders were buffed. But if you accept to pay a marauder… you already accept to pay like 2-3 times more than an other BS.
Marauders have a really good bonus for active tanks. You will need just 1 or 2 dedicated slots for tanking modules. A build that only consist of t2 modules, is still very efficient and strong, even if you mess up the triggers of most missions.
I know that I will go bit offtopic, but, If you are afraid to improve the fit of your Marauder above the t2 fit, because you can lose it to gankers, or even on a hard mission, I dont know if you are ready to make the missions with a Marauder. I have other ships that sometimes I use to run the missions, like a Typhoon Fleet with Autocannons, is a little bit harder and is not the ideal fit because is a missile platform, I mess the triggers on purpose to see until when I can sustain the fight.
About gankers, is a part ot the game. We have tools to mitigate this threat, use your Direcional Scanner to check for Combat Scanner Probes, create safe dock and undock markers, have some safe spots on the system, improve your overview so you dont have an excess of information.
Needs a prop mod for certain missions. My Polarized Paladin swapped the TE for a sigamp for faster lock times and ranges, but otherwise yeah, it’s a bloody beast of a boat.
While I’m sure this works well it is also Mexpensive and it tempts gankers with the taste of nuts and honey, how about just T2 it out and maybe a storyline mod instead, most of them are cheaper and are easier to fit and less tasty.
