So first, the probability to lose it is very low in the first place. If you don’t take any steps to add security and instead just AFK autopilot that thing your chances of losing your stuff go obviously up.
Now no one said that people with time constraints should be able to pilot billions in a capital ship around without escort. You can still take the risk obviously, but just because you have no time to play the game does not mean you are entitled to less risk.
You can always pay someone to move that stuff and invest your precious time you actually have into something that is more fitting to your RL requirements.

The issue is with pilot who call the gankee “idiots” because the caller is arrogant and has not got ganked in his JF yet.
He just lacks so much of self esteem that he needs to consider his success is only due to his superior intellect, and can’t imagine luck has its part to play in this.
That’s actually exactly what he’s affirming. I’m not even talking about autopilot (lol) or not having a web alt+scout (which actually does not need that much time) , but the constraint to have to jump back to LS and make the HS trip again, expecting there won’t be gankers ready(eg because they just ganked someone else) - or even just wait for your scout to signal “gate clear a shield idiot go ganked” which is what his argument was.
Yes sir, i am sir. Still, i won’t have my JF ganked because reasons (or game mechanics).

Waiting hours for having a clear path is what i call patience, not luck.
Here we go again:
a carefully planned jump last 30 sec, 3 session timers: undock, cyno, jump, dock. There’s one dangerous situation (wich is optionnal, you can make several runs with a DST): when you jump 1 gate to the highsec system. It’s ONE jump, you need to have eyes in TWO systems, and you cyno at the ready.
What is the part you don’t understand in “carefully planned”?

Isn’t this how arguments are done nowadays? I see this everywhere. I think this is the norm now and if you try to use sound logic you are a weirdo (according to them).

They’re called idiots because of the multiple terribad choices most gankees make before they even undock.
A gank doesn’t start when you get a lovebump from a Machariel; it starts the moment someone who has made bad choices undocks. One such example of poor choices would be somebody choosing to put eleventybillion isk in a poorly fitted ship and to compound that bad choice then choosing to go afk in said poorly fitted loot pinata.
TL;DR If someone makes piss poor choices the odds of the people who take advantage of poor choices doing their thing increase exponentially.

People aren’t idiots if they lose the odd JF over a long period, because Eve is a ■■■■■ and shiznit happens. They’re idiots if they lose JF’s because they constantly make bad choices and don’t learn from their mistakes.
