Burner mission needs rebalance? What has being going on?

the only one that requires a scram AFAIK is the worm when you do it in a non-DD fit.

I recently went through all the burners with my old fits and didn’t really see any big issues myself. I downgraded a lot of my fits to T2 only or cheaper fits (good thing since I got my Garmur ganked but it was only 120mill at that point, not 500mill). One or two seems a little bit tighter than I remember but I managed to do all of them (test server first then live). Haven’t picked up a Nargal for blood agent yet but it tested out fine on the test server.

That said I am running a couple of decent 5% missile implants (range, rof, damage) and Zor’s implant for speed. I don’t have any attribute implants that affect combat, just your normal +4s. So my pod isn’t that blingy either.

Also I have close to 100% skills. All missile skills, 95% gunnery and Nav skills and 95% armor skills (missing like 1 compensation skill at 5)

That might be the reason I haven’t had any issues.

I don’t think you haved tried angel agent/base and actually did go away with T2 fits.
I have all relevant skills to V and I tested my old fits on sisi : they got destroyed completely. Like, with OH everything, got wrecked before I could kill one rat in base angel.

On the other hand, agent guristas/serpentis and base serp are faster, agent blood is the same, agent sansha needs minor tweaks, but agent angel, base angel, and base blood fits took a huge nerf to their tank else and went melting fast.

there was a patch a while back (years?) that buffed the tank on a bunch of the burners, and afaik there was nothing in the patch notes. Then more recently the patch that nerfed player resists. A handful of other changes here and there.

I believe things still mostly work but haven’t been in game to verify anything in quite a while.

I have tested all my fits as soon as the patch hit sisi, to know exactly how much I should pay to keep my fleet afloat. Most fits would not hold without at least minor changes, for the simple fact that all my fits were made to optimize time will till being able to survive in the worst real case (eg the burner spawn too far and break the web, I get triple crit, etc).

For Angel base I do still use all T2 fit Vigilant (I just double checked) and I’ve run it multiple times now on test and live server. Are you using the T1 drones as damage mitigation/bait? Are you using the 3 web one + OH guns so you can burn through the first 2 drams fast enough? Is your hardeners and rep module spread out correctly in your fit so they can take heat damage longer?

Not really sure what else to tell you. The improved short range ammo DPS means the drams die faster (just make sure they’re at the right range before webbing them).

For the Angel agent, the fit I used to use still works, not sure what other fit you’re using. It’s not all T2, but it’s pretty cheap. Definitely not 500mill. Don’t even have an implant that helps it in any way.

No because sometimes it just does not work. I’ve got several cases of the rats not aggroing the drones at all for the whole fight (T1 small).

Also a lot of cases of the rats just going away after aggroing drones. So yes in that case it mitigates the damage, but It also mitigates mine since the rats go away and come back 3 mn after that. They aggro the drones, they kill it, then they go 50km away, and stop locking me. Later they aggress me again, but sometimes one orbits me 15km away, it’s just a complete mess.

Also the same “no drone aggro” can happen in the serpentis base, too. Just very very rare. I think I got it twice only. But then your tank and navigation is put to hard test, and you remember it.

Yeah 3 webs (or same as). no OH guns, it’s useless because as I told you the previous fit was dying before I could kill ONE of the 4 burners. Before, I was going to like 25% armor while killing the two first (happened to reach hull if several crits, happened to remain at 50%). When I tried the same fit on sisi after the change, it died before killing one.

Launch the drones before they start shooting you / you shooting them. Also, if one of the rats de-aggress just shoot it, even if they’re 50km away, they will immediately re-aggress and orbit at 3-4km. Just shoot it as soon as it starts flying away and it’ll come back, 100% guaranteed success every single time.

I’ve run this site probably over 100 times and nothing has changed, probably one of the easiest and stress free sites in the list tbh.

Also, OH the guns, really, it helps.

It took me 5 days, and four ships… but I did it, finally, in cheap T2 AF and no expansive implants.

In order…
Old WOLF fit. 50 Mil - no implants - looted back half
New JAGUAR fit. 50 Mil - lost - run 5 times with different fits before being killed
New Vigil Fleet issue (T2 OH webs goes 20km range) 94 MIl fit. - tried at least 5 runs with different fits before being killed for sacrificing tank too much… looted back in new WOLF run
New WOLF fit 50 Mil + Cheap cap implants for cap stable. ~5 mins. - gunnery rigs - Metastasis and collision.

why you dont test beforehand?
and now the fits have cost you more than a proper frig with bling.

I don’t know how to. All I know, is how to use my calculator on my desk.
For instance, even triple webs and fancy AB, it was 570 m/s vs 670 m/s
Vigil vs Succubus, so I was still unable to close in.
I tried to calculate all different fits possible and no chances.
Same for the Jaguar. I tried anyway with Javelin rockets but DPS was too low.

Hell no, a single Serpentis or Sansha webber costs 250 Mil isks… I must have lost near 100 Mil, because I looted back all fancy reppers by luck.

And then I’m completely lost anyway…

i am using this a few years. all bling mods are also used in other burner fits. so the cost per fit is low. as you can see a rep fleet web only.

you should not try to close the gap against the fastest ab frig.

Yes and no, if the Vigil had a small web effectiveness bump, or speed buff, it could have been yet a good option, than Rage rockets could have done the job equally. There is a very small margin for error on the tank side for the Vigil also. And Aplha capable.

so skip the battery for a web and test it on singularity.

you dont need more than 3 min cap.
and you cant run burners as alpha since a few updates

it will OH burn way before the 3 min…
