Caps and super caps

Injectors cost isk, which a new player will have to buy with cash via plex.
If there were higher alpha limits, like being able to learn skills until 20m, then using daily alpha up to say 30-40m, alphas would have much better time in pvp. Probably would influence them to buy omega a little easier too.

Of course ccp banks on plex purchases, but I think those purchases would be more influenced if an alpha could accomplish more.
If they’re happy, and get past the learning curve, they will be more likely to purchase omega and plex.
If they’re unhappy or have a hard time with the learning curve, the majority won’t stick around. Like now.
In the end, ccp needs new players if they want to keep existing. The player base is getting older, for the most part, and will either die or have other obligations on their lives.
A few years ago, when I started playing, the launcher would typically show 40-50k players online, where as now it’s 25-30k.

“Whale” defined by enormous investment into the game, in your case it is huge time investment. Also, you making 10 times more money for CCP than average player. I’m not saying it is something bad, but you can’t be used as example of “regular” player who works for capitals and enjoying them.

Huge time investement !=Whale
A whale is someone who spend a lot of money in a game ( a lot more than an average player).
If you invest time you are an hardcore player, but not a whale. The difference ? It proof everyonne with time could achieve the goal.
If only a true whale could, it means gameis a paid to win.

Agreed!

Introduce Super Duper capitals, which is to supercaps what supercaps are to battleships.

A new space coffin, the size of a fortizar, but mobile. (I’ve left the Keepstar size for the category Uber Super Duper Capitals)

And most inportant: it requires multiple capsuleers to fully function. (Now that would allow for huge player numbers in a fight!)

One commander, which is present in the space coffin at all times and which can oversee all the data of the ship.
And a few other (optional) capsuleers that can enter the ship when needed for battle, to fill other roles, such as:

  • navigator (turning ship, warping, jumping etc.)
  • cap overseer, deciding which part of the ship to route capacitor to to ‘overload’ that part for extra bonuses
  • gunner - self explanatory
  • defence commander, able to strengthen plates or shields at certain sides of the ship
  • ewar specialist
    Etc.

It would be like coordinating a fleet, but all in one ridiculously expensive huge ship.

Ho yea … more alt to have to fly one ship.

In reality you"re idea" is already the case if you want use cap or super to farm.
You need 1 gunner who … man the ship.
You need 1 cyno alt near in case of you are attack.
You need 1 other cyno alt for confort and security to be able to jump out fast just in case.

So yes basically CCP have done that the day they have make cyno change.
So farm in capital or super and you divide by 2 or 3 you’re per account rentability. Add to this ESS and super nerf … Well bad idea :stuck_out_tongue:

A bigger ship with multiple account inside is a bad idea actually.

Not if the different roles require enough attention to be performed best by multiple players instead of a multiboxer. It would encourage better teamplay!

It will be use in massive battle, so tidi, so multiboxing permit to play it.

For farming: Go to moving account, place, use gunner.

I don’t see any problems with that. Titan ratting is risky, imagine how much more risk ratting in a 1/6th functional huge brother of Titans is going to be? If you’re caught and only have one man on the guns (in addition to the mandatory commander), you would be without defences and navigation.

If you’re expecting battle, you better ping some friends to help.

in all case actually CCP kill super and titan, so they willnot make that.

How does introducing a bigger ship kill supers and titans? Did introducing supers and titans kill smaller ships?

(Rethorical questions, answer is ‘it doesnt’ and ‘no’.)

No you miss the point: Actually CCP over nerf super and titan. So they will not release bigger.
And they haven’t end to realease all faction titan/super.

‘Over’ nerf implies judgement, or in other words, your subjective opinion.

I still see supers and titans being useful, so I wouldn’t say they are over nerfed. Just nerfed.

And recently supers got a buff in the form of a nice new toy (allowing subcaps to respawn next to them and pick another ship from the bay). I wonder how that will play out.

Yep, it does, battleship fleets are almost non-existent because of caps and supercaps.

In fact i think it’s the principal issue actually. And you get it.

If CCP make cap and super with a lot more EHP than now (and increase in consequence XL gun/DD/heavy bobmer power).
For capital make they a little more tanky to (like 5 M EHP in battle cap).

So now you have a way to make a HUGE BS EHP boost (like 1 M EHP). BC to 250 000. And here we go beacause you don’t give the dammage boost XL to anti subcap weapon of cap, now you have BS who are able to stand against capital.

In fact CCP by nerfing everything just reduce the “space” for some ship to exist. In reality if they go to other way and search to stop nerf and buff enougth capital and super, they could make a room for BS.

This is why I quit playing. My entire goal was to fly capital ships, then after I finally was able to fly them and started buying carriers and dreads, the devs started nerfing them. So I voted with my wallet and left.

The ships are nerfed, not removed. You can still fly capital ships.

Why fly them if they are nerfed?

Another thing. People keep saying “how do you balance them?” Please, someone, define “balance” and what that means. If it means “frigate should be able to kill capship,” then, no, they should not be balanced.

Nobody knows what “balance” means, or they have retarded concepts of “balance.”

It appears their idea of “balance” is to make sure any ship can kill a carrier or titan.
They feel inferior because they don’t invest the time or isk into flying big ships, so they want those big ships brought down to their low skill level. All the while maintaining the high cost and extensive skill training.
