Well, when the side you’re fighting for has committed far worse crimes between each section than the entirety of the other side, the definition of “Enemies of Humanity” becomes a tad loose.

The whole, “I know the people I’m supporting are invading and have killed hundreds and hundreds of thousands of people on their own in addition to an astronomical amount of ships of which all have crews – all without being provoked – but consider this: even though they’re trying to literally destroy star systems, YOU’RE the bad guy because you don’t give me more power” argument is, by all accounts, funnier satire than anything I could ever come up with. Unfortunately, this particular brand of satire seems to be able to arm itself with weapons and use its two brain cells to support Triangles.
If I see someone who was responsible for this star fiasco in space, I am engaging them openly.
And if I meet you in particular, I’m pouring quick-dry cement into the capsuleer ports on your back.

It was the same when Sansha Kuvakei returned to galactic stage nine years ago. A large number of capsuleers rushed to declare their eternal love and allegiance. Only one or two groups of dedicated loyalists remained a few months after the upliftings ended.
The edgy pilots will move on to their next shocking cause to support as soon as the attention and excitement wears off.

Ah. But Caldari Prime was just the one planet, Ms. Tsukiyo. This is a collection of relatively unfriendly planets six jumps from Amarr, the seat of the oldest surviving empire in New Eden. The system’s probably had colonies since before the Caldari worked out how to build a radio, and a lot of the population will be in orbital habitats of the kind any pilot who’s done mission work has seen dozens of.
And the whole system’s extremely hostile right now.

They could have been there since before the EVE Gate existed, in the end is X ammount of people transported to Y distance, something neither side is talking about.
Anyway, it was just a contemplation on something that could be done other than exploding each other in orbit. Will become an academic thing in a little while.
Seeing what happens to the unwillingly population is the same as the willingly in the end.
At least the Bloodraiders use the spilled blood for something, in there is just floating around. May the bathing continue.

I sympathise with this statement of yours. The quest for information is one that the Federation and it’s member nations have undertaken for centuries in order to better understand the universe, to understand and how best to provide the means to help each other.
However, there must be a limit to what must be sacrificed in order to acquire said knowledge and information, especially when it comes to the lives of those that wield very little power to effect the circumstances out of their control in the skies above them.
We do have evidence of them engaging in slaughter of colonial inhabitants and security personnel as my counterparts have linked in this thread. And even if they had not, the unwilling transportation of the colonists such as those from New Concept, Esmes III, in my home District of Nadire counts as acts of kidnapping and unlawful detention as they did not give their consent to be taken from their homes. Thirdly, they were forcing them into partaking in human experimentation, again an act against their will and consent that they possess as inviolable human rights.
Why should they, the inhabitants of a system or the member states that compose said system, be forced to endure changes to the environments they were quite content to live in without? The Collective has no right to forcibly impose it’s will on these people and therefore we must firmly and utterly oppose them until they concede that their campaign against the Big Four is not the way forward for them to emerge from the depths of the Abyss.
I would hope even this desire would be tempered by the ethical considerations that should be made. In my brief time in the Federation, I have come to understand that life, all life, is precious and worthy of being protected, dash the consequences. Whilst I understand that what you wish to do is for the betterment of humanity as a whole, we cannot sacrifice our own in that endeavour, lest we become what we despise the most.

I think in a society where the self has become prominent, Market sales at an all time price hike and the marketing of bodies and minds as mere commodities for the system, we’re beyond discussing the ethics of either side. The Triglavians saw an opportunity to take advantage of a people so intwined in the system they forget to ask the right questions, and took advantage of that no question, lamb to the slaughter capsuleer mentality.
All I see is the inevitable process of what we started 15 years ago.

For me personally, I will decide how to proceed when the Trigs are done with whatever they’re trying to do in Raravoss, because personally, as long as they don’t target the systems that my kin call their homes, and as long as they aren’t interferring with my lifestyle, I’m in no rush to slaughter them until I am sure that they are the great threat that EDENCOM says they are, because from what I’ve seen, all 4 empires have caused more deaths than the Trigs. If that makes me an enemy of humanity, then so be it.
