CCP and the Driffters

But hey, you do understand this drifter thing will not encourage the players go out and PVP right?

100% Correct but it’s 100% to cheer for the NPC and think they are a solution because the core issue is not being addressed: ORE.

When the Dafters go away, nothing will have changed (except for the player count) and the ore will just start to roll back in. CCP needed to give an incentive to fight (ie less ore) over resources but instead hit the easy button and now we have this CF…zero equilibrium is being reached plus they have pissed off a lot of people in the process by relying on NPC, not brains, to attempt to fix the situation which is exactly what Eve was supposed to be about.

This is exactly what Eve is about.

When did CCP say the intent of this was to ā€œencourage the players to go out and PVPā€?

It’d be like saying ā€œwell, you know this lawnmower isn’t going to help paint the fence.ā€ I’m not sure where people have deluded themselves into thinking that the drifter thing is supposed to ā€˜encourage PvP’. CCP for sure hasn’t said that, in fact, they haven’t said anything.

You need to put the whole expansion into context, and not just cherry pick a few isolated incidents. This whole expansion is themed around addressing inflation you just need to read between the lines. Dividing incursions fairly across New Eden, trig systems occupying trade pipes and blowing up 3b marauders and rattlesnakes on the daily, and now drifters causing unprecedented havoc in NS for seemingly no rhyme nor reason.

There’s too much isk coming out of the game and too little being put back into it. Instead the isk is leaving the game via RMT and bypassing the economy entirely.

Except people in Null want PvP, not this…they want wars against people, not NPCs…

no need to read between lines
no need to put anything into context
no need to cherry pick

That’s just the main fact…

If that were true, it wouldn’t be the blue donut botter paradise that it is and has been for quite a while. Stop making ā– ā– ā– ā–  up.

Please do not simply ignore the power of the PVP mechanics.
What people want is one thing.
What people end up doing is another.
Just like real life everyone want to get easy money and play around,
but in reality we have to work to feed ourselves.

It does not need to be ā€œCCP saidā€, why it has to be said by CCP?
It is the people I replied said there need to be more PVP, so I remind him this does not encourage that.

Is there any problem complaining on a feature that does not improve game play?

Well then those people are being unreasonable. My mistake, I misinterpreted your comment without full context.

It’s also a fact people spend a lot of time ratting in null, and that’s PvE, hmmm…

Sigh…if there is nothing to fight over then people wont fight over it…this is a game after all…Stop making ā– ā– ā– ā–  up.

That’s farming to pay for their wars…hmmm…

Still PvE. Clearly players are not as one dimensional as you previously claimed.

You are calling everything PvE and then say players are not as one dimensional…

AGAIN…ratting to make ISK to fight in wars against people is what NS folks do. If you want to stretch that to ā€œlook they mist love PvE thenā€, clearly you don’t understand Eve in the first place…

Umm…all you need to do is look at the KBs to see that you are making ā– ā– ā– ā–  up…

ā€œYOU DO NOT NEED ISK.ā€

You ship runs on love or BS? JJ…I know the answer to that one…

Again as you are willfully ignoring the point. CCP needs to give the alliances something to fight over and to commit their assets…up to now they haven’t. ORE is the root of this and its availability needs to be slashed…not some dumb AI trick that only morons in HS droll over and cheer on.

I dont disagree that some use pve to fund pvp. But I do think you are just plain wrong to say nullsecers only want PvP. Many go out of their way to rat in null. They make an alliance or pay the local Corp for protection and access to rat in the area. That all about Pve. In null even.

You are 100% right and I will clarify by saying that many in NS are there to just earn ISK way faster than in LS/HS. I am wrong to say THEY (ie renters) also want PvP wars.

But, they are there at the whim of a larger alliance that is profiting off them to fund their wars. Which ties into my point that the whole point of NS is for people to partake in massive PvP conflicts.

There is a lot of PvE in null but it’s generally to generate ISK for the wars…

It’s a ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  sandbox, doofus yes but each area offers different levels or did you miss that part?

If you need CCP to hold your hand and explain the game to you feel free to start with the university.

You missed the part where Null lobbies destroyed the sandbox by getting CCP to hand them everything they needed into Null, removing the need to trade with other areas of space. Which lead to the current stagnant situation…
So… Any complaints about sandbox are self inflicted by null at this point.
