CCP hates miners = confirmed

a short cycle is a short cycle to pop a rock so you can start a new one…there is no difference there, unless you are stupid.

Not a nerf, just a simple game changer to differentiate between Alpha and Omega account holders, get a grip.

Not a Nerf, it was a buff for everyone making it easier to find the ores which were not being consumed, and besides safety is relative…combat probes.

Any HS npc station that has a 50% base yield.
Any player Upwell structure that has a 50% or above base yield.

All you need is max skill in ore type and the +4% reprocessing implant.

At 50% base yield that gives you 72.4% which with the added minerals in ores= 100% refine rate pre-mineral ore distribution change a few years ago.

I am in no way good at this game, my zkill is solid proof of that, though I am also not very good at mining in this game.

I read stories that Rorqual are miners end game and I want to get into a Rorqual within the next 2 years.

/Pls overlook Aug 15, 2019 as I feel that I was going through some sort of transition within my New Eden life.

By the time you get skilled up, they’ll be totally nerfed.

I believe some of the classic frigates still have mining bonuses as well… hang on…

yup, Velator has 20% role bonus to drone mining yield.
I thought the Tristan did as well, but apparently not.
The Vexor has a skill-based 10% buff to drone mining yield.

Vexor has 10% Drone mining yield

Oh, another ‘‘i cant make 25 billion a month in relative safety mining in my 6 rorqs whilst extracting sp from them’’ thread… how quaint.

edit: my post was kinda rude
my inner critic didn’t like it
i think the mining changes are ok

just dropping by to tell you, that i love the changes.

mining as a single player without an umbrella in 0.0… my “time” (this is a meme, i know, since i dont pay as much attention to the game as other activities require) is worth more now - and will increase during the famine.
compared to other activities in high-sec such as missions, incursions - which will “decrease” (in a sense), since their payout stays the same BUT everything will cost more.

ccp certainly does not hate miners - maybe they dont like the way mining has been “abused” for a long time. but that is certainly not “all miners”

and to all the people claiming “we won’t have enough minerals to do pvp”.
imagine a time without rorquals and their excavators, industry levels in 0.0, uber-boosts to mine more than twice the amount in a barge… guess what! ships and modules were still affordable.
sure, everything was toned down a notch - battleships instead of caps. but thats it!

I think they’ve removed that?

I saw it on the ship tree

Can we post all the PVP nerfs in comparison from 2014? What about all the safety buffs?

Who cares about it, go at the end of universe and PVP each other …
( Oops. Just gave up CCP plans for PVPers  )

Go back to the shadows, ban-evading troll.

You know its practically impossible to provoke a fight in null these days, cant bubble outposts to catch ratters. LOW POWER citadels off every gate to be used as pings so interdictor and drag bubbles are severely reduced in usefulness, combat ceptors not bubble immune, athanors to mine off… so many citadels omg… plus other structures… 40+ anoms a ratter could be at…
Roaming dullsec has become quite boring… unless you like being in the blob that is in the big local coalition…
Lowsec doesnt change much i must admit though dont roam normal low for pew… highsec wars… ffs…
this game used to have SO much more going on and whilst i was an advocate for some safety surrounding nubs (or special cases) the game has become vastly inferior to what it once was… i mean hell, it USED to be profitable to mine ark in a wh… in a hulk… sure you could get whelped by a bomber but thats part of the fun right?

Unfortunately I can’t, the faklon and his alts have already taken all the places there

Noway, I did not just read that… PVP gets more nerfs than pve mining?

PVP can use a wide selection of fits and ships where mining is locked into a small group of ships and fittings along with requiring time on an asteroid or ice berg.

If a module for pvp is nerfed then the player will just refit something else and most times it is a balance.

Pvp time = fun
pve time = fun

They are both the same yet the pve nerfs feel the rough end of the stick.

PvP did get a lot of nerfs in the last years to please the farmers.

Farmers were definitely favoured in the last years, not just because of mining. Also ghost skilling, which didn’t get addressed for a long time (because it made them money, obviously) and tons of things you can just read up in patch notes yourself.

Now that CCP squeezed enough money out of them,
things are finally going back to normal.

I can give you solid advice on this one:

Don’t. You’ll regret it.
Stay small(-ish) and agile instead.
Rorquals were useful to milk farmers of their money.

Now there’s plenty of people who can fly Rorquals,
but CCP isn’t interested in farmers anymore.

*checks August 15th*

Ah. Hahahahahaha.

I mean seriously, look at this gif. All miners seriously need to stop complaining. You had complete freaking safety, even in NULL-sec space. This is completely and utterly freaking ridiculous that CCP allowed this to even happen.

If you don’t understand the point of the gif, then here it is. You can mine beside a structure that provides not only protection, but immunity to the ship once you warp to it.

Utterly dumb this was allowed. I’m happy for these changes. Makes it balanced again.
