CCP Hilmar, CCP Falcon, and CCP Goodfella reveal their plans for an Eve Era of CHAOS in this new interview!

Funny so many changes over the years that benefited null but now this suddenly is killing the sandbox.

I Didn’t know that null was invaded by a melodramatic acting troop.

It might be difficult to you but there are changes and changes.

Just think about it: when it was last time when CCP declared to start a campaign especially against some group of players who became too successful? I only know one (story of mOo).

@Prospektor_Schipplock …an oblique threat to people who have your RL info?

You’re not the sharpest tool in shed, are you.

Hope your local police are gentle enough with you, Einstein.

I haven’t logged into eve for 2 days now., and I have to say its kind of nice. no stress of losing stuff to an unseen pvp’er. plus I have not had to use or buy PLEX to fund my play style, also very nice. so maybe in a weird way the blackout was a good thing for me, it’s shown me there are other things in life.
just to throw another 2 cents into the fray, I always like it when someone says if 0.0 is to dangerous go to hi sec. well if I could produce what I produce from raw material in hi sec don’t you think I would have done that years ago. well I cant so I’m stuck in low or null. when you can do reactions, mine raw moon materials, and mine hi end ores in the safety of hi sec dude I’m there. that will never happen unless you buy your own space direct from CCP. anyhow I’m off to do other stuff. Peace

I don’t think so. I see this more as the evolution of a sandbox because after 16 years of players stabilizing their own empires it became apparent that this may be bad for the game because it does not drive conflict.

And sorry, but some of the latest wars where not “naturally” driven by the sandbox but simply started because some content creator tries hard to find ways to entertain their people and stop them from quiting. That is not how it should be, and what CCP is trying to do as I interpret it is not providing direct content but simply changing the rules behind the scene to disrupt the meta and stability and hopefully this will lead to actual reasons for the current empires to go to war instead of simply creating artificial content.

The only people that are actually crying about this are some farmers and botters that did nothing other than farm in the safety of a perfect and free local intel system. There is really nothing lost there if they just go back to highsec or quit if the game is made more interesting for everyone else instead.

ADU’s… Active Daily Users… are up??? really? … oh, and not just “up” but the highest in the last 5 years… BWAAHAHAHAHAHA! Wow, can somebody please explain to me then why Eve-Offline shows that online users are dwindling quickly… like an average of 3000 fewer players each day than last month? And its getting worse. WHILE THE FREE SP’S ARE BEING GIVEN OUT! That is really broken guys… CCP, Please back the truck up and allow the players a sandbox again. I don’t want Eve to be shut down for lack of players, but that is exactly where this will all lead to if you continue to devastate the masses.

who is threat anyone ?

Exactly the point the risk vs reward was broken, now it is closer to fixed. So either except the higher risk or move and get the lower reward.

Might be related to CCP’s practice of hiring directly from the player base, which can be problematic for a game designer.

That and listening to the Null lobby CSM.

So thats why they spawned those worthless Rats on our structures such that i had to move home early from a war zone - makes perfect sense!

if by evolution you mean turning to something that is not a sandbox, we agree and like any evolution t might also lead to extinction.

I see you cant grasp the meaning of a sandbox, where you (the content creator) create the content .

while CCP creating your content is WoW-style of play and not sandbox, quite some evolution.

blackout give really 0 reasons to the empires to go to war.

if you go that way, one can also say the only ones that applaud this is wannabe PvPers who want their kills served as a sitting duck on the platter by CCP… etc

It was that is what caused this mess in the first place, increasing the rewards for null over and over with no increase in risk and now that the scales are being balance null think it is the end of the world because their theme park gravy train is over.

Does anyone think that asymmetrical warfare should be possible in Null?

I dont really have an opinion, because I kinda agree both that I can see why the entrenched Nullites would be against it, but also why so many are happy to see Blacktop.

well if that was the reason for this ‘mess’, they could have just turned down the rewards to really balance it.

And Null would have complained worse, plus the point of Null is that it is meant to be the second most dangerous space in EvE.

no, some would have complained sure, but not worse.

Take away rewards from Null, this would have gone from a tantrum by null players into a full blown case of slit throats. Already have enough people whining and threatening to quit.

lol, OK now you are suddenly caring about people that might complain. well you could have said HTFU

Olmeca made something like a trillion ISK living of Goons scraps - i call that great success in asymmetrical warfare.
And he did it all before the blackout so do we really need a through the roof buff for whaling just because so many people are more wannabe than actual eliete?
