Well he did put a lot of preparation and effort into it - wich distinguishes him from all those people who just want to roll in, ruin some carebears day and be back home in their cozy wormhole before dinner.
Isnt WH already the most dangerous space in Eve? Are there more spaces that are most dangerous needed? They could have added some more space with null characteristics and no local and see how it goes?
Then the problem isnt with changing situations, its with people.
Though I dont think its WHs you should attack with that, as the loudest voices of hate vs NS come from HS.

And then you are just left with the same problem. Null had too many rewards for not enough risk. Now you can choose Null without local but better rewards or lo-sec with less risk and less rewards. there was no point making another space just so null could continue their gravy soaked theme ride.
And yes WH space is the most dangerous which is why I said this is about making null the second most dangerous.

Well i have no idea who those people are that do nothing but PVP but i guess staging in Jita makes sense when you need to spend PLEX for everything you do?
Annyways my point is that there were enough kills without Blackout and as shown by this example even one dedicated guy can achieve a lot if he is willing to put in the necessary effort.
“Winning” against an organisation of thousands SHOULD be an achievement ald Olmeca did just that.

according to hilmar eve gets 16,000 downloads a week. So that does not seem to be the case.
and how many of this download are uninstalls ?

A lot of them it seems, if the number is even real, though i seriously doubt that. Hellmar likes to lie about these things.
For example he will do some crazy steam event like the one that passed a few months ago and say “look! 16,000 people a week!”. The truth is 16k accounts were made, that were 93% alts, and most of them went inactive after the event.
But that does not stop him from lying and saying “well see here our numbers showed players coming” even though he knows it was alts.
Putting that aside if what he says is true, w hich is highly unlikely, eve could grow, the issue is however that most of those people are undoubtedly pvers.

citadel warfare blows compared to pos warfare.
no fuel needed for reinforcment timers, 1 week timer and if you miss it or dont have the dps it insta heals so theres no need for anyone to attempt to spend time to repair it like we used to do outpost and pos.

You still missing the point. What is the difference between sandbox and theme-park game? How many rules and restrictions can be added to sandbox until it stops to be sandbox?
I agree with the game needs but it needs to be said honestly: sandbox idea is failed and EvE Online is changing towards predictable theme park MMO game.

Local is not an additional rule. It’s a change of an existing rule. If the presence of instant Intel local didn’t break the sandbox neither will delayed local.

no, WH is not the most dangerous now. You can close off the WH and be safe, you cannot close off NS. Therefore, NS is now more dangerous and more risky, but with fewer rewards. The obvious choices for Nullseccers is to get less risky (stay docked) or take over somebody’s WH.
