Yeah shame one of the best strategies for taking over a wormhole is to close it off so the defenders cannot get any reinforcements or supplies. So again null is the second most dangerous and has less rewards than null.
Being part of a WH group takes personal effort from all members, it requires knowledge and commitment. Being part of a null sec alliance takes⌠nothing at all. No effort, no knowledge, not even really a pulse. Thereâs a REASON null sec alliances whoâs empires are built on quantity over quality, do so well.
The average line member would get lost trying to figure out this âyou have to know what youâre doingâ thing, while watching some tentacle furry Gundam fanfic.
I genuinely hope more PVE players move to wormholes. Theyâre really safe and you can make tons and tons of isk in them. Why not bring your most expensive PVE ships?
Problem with WH as place for PvE is that you need to put structure up and defend it. And itâs thing that pure PvE folks donât want to do. Not to mention more solo oriented players. I probable wont live there few days with just one man corp and my alts.
If something like that would be possible I will be siting in WH from years now.
because it doesnât fit in there.
Stuff like the Drifter invasion is clearly âthemeparkyâ and I hope they donât go further down this route. But it seems that was only some temporary lore stuff for the blackout. Have you actually listened to the podcast, because what they are talking about is nothing like that. They think about how to make null more dynamic in the way that resources deplete and so on. Sounded all pretty sandboxy to me.
As you wishâŚ
Does this mean that there arent enough PVEers in WH? Is that why WHer come to null to pvp?
Sometimes I get the impression that CCP kinda lost the vision of what their game should be. And many times they seem to implement stuff and make changes without really thinking them through to the end.
You and pretty much everyone else posting here!
It is not about âlocalâ. It is about approach âplayers can make groups and work towards common goals. But they should not succeed too much. Groups should not grow too much. Players can (and should strive to) make empires but these empire can only be small and helpless. As soon as players achieve any success developers are gonna change some mechanics to waste all effort players have spent.â
This is basically approach CCP have declared. They are declaring âproperâ paths players can take and they are ready to close any loopholes and shortcuts. I really do not see any traces of âsandboxâ here.
Yeah, thatâs the most funny part of all this story: these guys say that WH are the best.
However:
- what is the most popular story? When they dunked some lazy bears in null-sec.
- what is the most broken mechanics which needs to be fixed soon? Some of null-sec mechanics.
It really looks like people only go to wormholes to hunt in 0.0-space and carebear in WH.
Except thatâs all classes of rules they already declared, maybe not that exact rule but the same general area of rule.
A sandbox has a set of rules that govern it still, in fact itâs kinda part of the definition of a sand box that it has some rules that govern it.
You are just mad that a rule you really liked has been changed.
Yeah funny that it is a popular story because emerging from a WH and not trying to fly there meant that the bears had not just docked up due to local giving away your presence for multiple systems before hand. Hunting bears due to the lack of active defense was always funny.
But you are right Sov does need fixing. It needs to be made usage based. You either mine and rat in the system or lose it.
Any CEO of any company who wishes for loss of revenue, customers, for ANY reason, is a JOKE!
So any company that makes a niche product instead of a mainstream or mass-produced product, is a joke?
Or is that just because it suits you in this situation?
Do you know what a loss-leader is?
Whatever makes you feel better!
And what about companies who are purchased for their ability to make a loss for tax purposes or a company that might need to make a loss due to the holding of primary assets still written at book value and not wanting excess tax in relation to those assets or how about a company that is hoping to survive another 20 years on a smaller amount of revenue per year instead of a higher revenue over a smaller number of years or
How about the fact a CEO may be attempting to make a game more popular to more people or just bring back old players after over a decade of stuff ups created to pampering to one part of the player base.
