CCP Hilmar, CCP Falcon, and CCP Goodfella reveal their plans for an Eve Era of CHAOS in this new interview!

did you?

I don’t generally let arrogant fools order me around, so nope.

CCP will never really tell us what the population of the server is because what we see is all accounts logged in and not # of individual people actually playing which is way less

Ask five different players how to fix this game and you can get five viable completely different ways to fix it.

There is not only a single way that this game can be improved.

The only way one comes up with a single path is by only thinking of their own selfish needs.

Of course we are free to express them. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I’d like to point out that by some years ago… you mean since the start of the game.

This part is true

Blackout has been very interesting for us in Curse. We have seen a much higher response rate to our fleets as we move through territory. I guess now that bots can easily be hunted by combat recons or similar they NEED those defense fleets on standby, and that’s fine and all, it provides us with more to shoot now than in the past.

There’s a few other tricks to the system that make it a bit easily gamed but blackout for null feels like a really positive move.

This makes a fresh change from all the wailing across there in the big smelly BO thread.

Also happy cake day!

Its okay im here now…

Did CCP at one point say what they thought the price of Plex should be? I thought I read something about that a while ago? If so, will these recent measures continue until the price of Plex drops to that level with the advantage of getting rid of a lot of bots in the process?

No, they don’t. EvE is not for you.

low PLEX prices encourages plex buyers, discourages plex sellers

Yeah so tell us more about how Cap warfare is both good and bad at the same time. I dont know much about it and would love to know more.

But blackout has made it difficult somehow?

I think you mean different Caps.

You are funning me.

Blackout is a good thing for Eve and i think CCP should add more and more ā€œchaosā€

i don’t mind if they remove asset safety, remove the structure/ihub warning and everything but in exchange increase the reward in nullsec, i’m in a small scale alliance in nullsec and people don’t rat/mine anymore, just the hightest income = moon well if they can’t rat/mine i don’t care but we seen an impact on our roam/ping, and that’s the problem

but in order to increase the reward if they increase the risk they need to adress some issue before, if they don’t do something for the capital farm under an umbrella then they just gonna give them more money

i’ve seen some good idea with the last interview of Hilmar/Falcon/Goodfella, like ressource depletion, maybe nerf the cyno and add an anti-cyno blops like CSM Olmeca-gold suggest, really hope they do something fast if they attend to keep the blackout (and i hope so)

Oh ok I thought this was you;

My mistake

Does it? Living forever in tedium?

And pretending to love it?

Sure thing.

I’d rather they keep asset safety, but instead of charging a 15% fee on retrieving assets it just drops 15% worth of assets as loot. Then make citadels much easier to destroy. Less reinforcement timers for smaller citadels, shorter reinforcement timers for all citadels and timers that depend on stront or some other kind of fuel, like POS did.

The fee was probably added as an isk sink but dropping loot is worth more as a gameplay mechanic.

I know there is a lot of people with enough knowledge and data to take a step forward and do a real comparison of multiple scenarios.

This kind of information is what we need. I’ve asked around if those planing to leave the game could resort to other paths within the game and see if it would call the attention of Devs and Management and perhaps they would put a bit more work on it, not because I want to ā€œkill EVEā€. Because we all know, any Dev has a multitude of switches to work with towards specific goals.

It showed that there are just too many Amidalas in the player base and little knowledge about the concept of chaos.

As I said somewhere else: The Blackout is the implementation of an existing feature, applied prematurely in the wrong environment.

But here are other ways: I would like to invite those that can work with data and show what it really means to live in Null, with Sov. How much damage a 25mill hull can cause on a 25Bill infrastructure no player decided to make so expensive, how is it after BO. And equally compare other scenarios, WH, FW, Triglos, etc… I hope there’s someone that can do it still in the game.

More or less as Dallocort said, in other words, Null was already quite hard for any smaller than average group and those able to make it before BO, have no place there anymore. Of course!, those eating donuts under the umbrella will say ā– ā– ā– ā–  YOU! get back to High Sec! because they have now a more secure and comfortable place. They are the ones shouting the echos of ā€œNull was safer than Highā€

In a numeric comparison, it should be visible, as a tool for players the ultimate answer in number of pilots and ISK to What you Need to Live in Null Nowdays (without donuts and umbrellas). I bet it will produce interesting stats… in contrast to how things were before BO.

Because it is weird and the reason why the topic is still active, that CCP is saying something opposite to their actions.

How can it be that people insist on the ā€œdamage done to bots with the BOā€ when we heard CCP Hilmar (please link poke him cuz I don’t know how) say that they (bots) have already adapted and CCP must still work on it! I mean, what is wrong with these people!

So, the intention, if it was against donuts, umbrellas and bots, was lost in a boot licking fiesta of interview. BTW, bring a counterpart next time. It would be entertaining AND SHORTER!
