Did you read what I said or not? I suggested an actual class of ship specifically for bumping and a way to keep it from being accidental. But honestly yes, if you are actively smashing your ship into someone you need to become killable.
If you can’t actually read what someone says don’t comment on it, being mistaken is one thing, just ragging on any suggestions you can get your hands on is idiotic.
I’m not saying my idea is a perfect fix, but it is an idea and maybe could spark better ones.
Connecting bumping to suspect status in any form is going to be abused.
It’s a bad idea and the people promoting it aren’t thinking of the consequences.
If you can come up with a way to connect bumping and suspect status, I (and others) will think of a way it can be abused.
The only way I see that stops neutral bumping from being a problem without introducing even bigger problems, is if you remove bumping altogether. And I don’t support such a change - how would I kill someone who’s afk on tether then?

It’s totally okay to explain how you think it is a bad idea ; it’s not to just affirm it is.

As per usual, it seems you dropped caveats in order to arrive at your false conclusion. Its either that or you think that any talk of change, issues, or really anything on this board is equivalent to “whining”. Yet, it really does seem that you, and Merin too, think “whining” is a synonym for talking, discussing, expounding, conversing, chatting, mentioning and/or wondering.
I DISCUSS topics where I do not have a horse in the race. What I do not do is whine. What I do not do is scream “Terrible idea” before I have even attempted to formulate a solution for a potential problem it may create. What I do not do is bully just because I see an opportunity to do it. What I do not do is try to kill ideas in some kind of mentally deficient belief that player ideas have even a 2 percent chance of being adopted and thereby completely obliterate my playstyle.
This idea of adding more apt counters to neutral bumping ships getting themselves invovled in a high sec war dec battle is totally worthy of discussion, and so are all the ideas presented to effect that.

Utter nonsense. Bumping is a non-issue and multiple counters already exist. We do not need to change the mechanics just because EVE’s dumbest players can’t cope with the possibility of losing a ship.

Needs to look at and needs to change are a bit different.
Also, “I think” there needs and “there needs” are also a bit different. One is clearly stating an opinion, the other would be stating something the person believes to be a fact.
