Nobody is. It is a step into a wrong direction and we are giving feedback about it. You are the only one here accusing others of “doing things” that they never did. Maybe take a lesson in rhetoric and you might understand what those examples are about. But to be honest, I doubt you do even understand that I try to actually help you to get better in discussions. ![]()
The posts are still up there. No one’s removed them. Keep saying it never happened. It’s fun. The posts can still be read.

Thank you for proving my point.
you dont want believable. you want what You want. standardizing the names does not break immersion. If anything, it should increase your immersion. Except, you dont know, or want to know that in real life, ore is graded. You want an echo chamber of complaining about a video game that has outlasted more than half the mmo’s to ever be made.
Some of you don’t know what you are talking about…

Pointless to argue with someone whose reading comprehension is stuck at 3rd grade, or who has only familiarized himself with part of the conversation.
The technical name for hematite is iron(III) oxide, It is the mineral form of ferric oxide and is commonly referred to in industrial and chemical contexts as red iron oxide. It is a primary ore of iron and serves as a natural, inorganic red pigment.
Key technical details regarding hematite include:
Chemical Name: Iron(III) oxide or Ferric oxide..
CAS Number: 1317-60-8.
Mineral Class: Oxide mineral.
Other Names/Synonyms: Red iron ore, Specularite,
Crystal System: Rhombohedral (trigonal).
you’re arguing layman names vs real names. if you folks are going to keep making intelligence insults, maybe you should check yourself. I’m sorry that you dont comprehend that ore is graded irl, and the “popular” names are not their scientific names.
We play a video game of highly intelligent, super humans. You are not your characters, clearly.
This is merely a chemical state, not a grade of ore.
It does not describe the value, nor is it used by the miners. In fact, Iron(I) hardly exists, and Iron(II) does not form in isolation. This is why miners use terms like magnetite, referring to a composition of II and III. It appears you don’t know what you are talking about, and in game terms you are confusing ores with minerals.
miners irl are also not using complex technology to pull the minerals out, atom by atom. I simply do not understand why going to a standardized name is such a big deal to the folks on this thread. So much of a big deal that y’all decide ad hominem is the best form of communication.
I can google, you can google, everyone with internet access and electricity can google. Yet, you folks dont want to google any information regarding the various grades of ORE (not whether oil is processed aiko.)
Y’all want to use every trick you can think of to get the Very few google searches done, to say what you want it to say. Simple type in “ is ore graded”. but no, you gotta put in full sentences to add stipulations so that you get the desired echo.
You’re out of touch. You come up with any excuse you can to invalidate actual information.
This whole thing is stupid. I feel stupid for even bothering to engage this stupidity. It’s a video game. Deal with it.
Can you just admit that you want to dumb the game down because you don’t want to try and remember which variant of Veldspar has more tritanium?

Can you just admit you’re here to create conflict?
Why bother with that? I just mine every rock within reach and sort it out later. Do you realize what’s involved in moving an Orca? Too much downtime. Just mine everything within reach. There’s no need to worry about this rock having more than that rock when you can mine them all in a few minutes.
By the time you get back to refine, you’ll be swimming in valuable Tritanium!
This statement is not true. Why did you not research it better before posting a statement you take for granted solely on your own perceived reality? If you are wrong on such a basic statement already, why should i consider going into the complicated business of mineral analysis with you?
I’m just here to create conflict, yes.
Back when I mined, I only mined 10% ore. When the belt/ano ran out of that I moved to another belt/ano. I’ve been taught to minimize risk and maximize benefits.
Dont we all create our own little world of conflict in this game?
If you had actually bothered to read the whole agument up there, which you deemed worthy of resurrection, then you would have seen that I argued against the proposal that people stop expressing their viewpoint. The exact opposite of what you accused me of doing. So either you have no reading comprehension, or your attention span is only good for one post out of context – either way I have no use of you. It’s below me to interact with people like you and this is the only and last time I do it. And I don’t react to insults either. So go and find some other tree to bark up.
I want the cool names back. If you want the biggest yield then mine the icon on the overview that’s bigger. Not hard to figure out.
you are unable to google, or use any other search engine to ever exist, but you can play eve and post on forums?
