CCP Totally Failed it's Hsec players

Read it again, it doesn’t say you can’t shoot them, and I do.

Not in so many words…but “Players are advised to reconsider any aggressive action against new players in the following systems…” doesn’t sound like lawyerspeak to me. It seems pretty implicit.

Maybe set up an event, where Aiko and her minions go to a starter system and we can all watch her kill new player’s.

Sure the excuses will flood in now .

One is a system over run by thugs and miscreants harassing people who just want to be on their way. The other is Low Security chokepoint. Oh the irony. At least in the chokepoint you do not have to wait to be shot at before shooting at people who intend harm.

They are both choke points. The only difference is 0.1 in security status and that Concord doesn’t show up in the 0.4 one…though in both cases the gate guns fire. Other than that there is zero difference. Uedama is just Ahbazon with Concord thrown in. If one is full of thugs and miscreants then they both are.

But…the thugs and miscreants are simply playing Eve the way it is intended. Those choke points are not supposed to be safe…that is precisely why the choke points were created.

Nobody is stopping them, they just do so via pod express.

Their illegal cargo however is confiscated.

CCP creates the problem… blames others… implements only suggestions by nullsec to fix it… wonders why they are a mock in the industry. repeat.

Wow dood, ysomadbro? Leave the guy alone. Are you some sort of autocorrection Bot trying to bring, law, justice and the Word of God to us mere humans?

Yeah I’m sure all the other companies mock the company that’s had a product on the market for 20 years.

Microsoft nodoubt get mocked aswell, in their case for having successful products on the market for 49 years.

Noooo…don’t even get me going about Microsoft’s ‘Alaska Wilderness’ flight expansion pack and how a lot of people ( including this mug ) paid good money for it and then after just a few years it vanished from the face of the Earth and you could no longer download it anywhere despite having paid for it. Grrrr.

Got a flight simulator, it sucked. Their website said NO REFUNDS.

Well guess what, got a refund because I’m awesome.

We are indeed lucky your awesome

I would think a company is only to “blame” if the program has glitches, bugs, or doesn’t operate as intended.

The community is to blame for “bad sports”. PvP games in general attract large amounts of “I want to be the bad guy” players. I don’t know if any of you played Cops and Robbers back when you were kids. It was basically a childhood version of Tag. The issue was no one volunteered to be the cop ( or IT in the game of Tag ). Everyone wanted to be the robbers who was chased by the cop. This is ingrained into our childhood, it never shocks me, people want to be bad guy the Big Bad Wolf, Darth Vader, Trump, Dracula, Peewee Herman, etc…

This game is overtly full of gankers, while it is your choice to be a white hat or a black hat, allow me to remind the black hats about something. The miners are the foundation upon which you stand. Blowing up miners makes the next ship cost you more ISK. When there is no supply, the ore goes up in value.

As a miner who avoids getting exploded as much as I can, I say “Go for it”. I would love to see my ores triple in price. If I were running a pirate faction, my orders would be to fire only upon those not jettison cargo at most. In the words of Adam Ant, “Stand and deliver, your money or your life.”.

I don’t see any need for CCP to control gankers. Unless you are attacking other factions, all the ganking is just not going to help your community in the future.

This always gets repeated and it is a point that actually supports the destruction of more inattentive mining ships.

Ore going up in value is exactly the desired consequence: many PvPers run mining and industry hustles on the side – ever since the elimination of Passive Moons the PvP oriented players have been forced to Pay for PLEX or find an in-game ISK source – and those that picked mining and industry are often ruthless enough to eliminate competition so they are ahead. The competition they eliminate are the ones that are the lowest of skill and attention: the ones artificially deflating the value of ore for everyone in the game, and in the process capturing wealth creation that doesn’t belong to them. Bots and AFKers should get 0 ore and 0 ISK, but by undercutting they reduce everyone else’s gains and in the process take some ore and ISK for themselves.

People that get ahead are ones that are smart, attentive, and skilled. They keep the ore and also get rewarded further with inflated costs as ore from bots AFK people isn’t created. Ones that fall behind are ones that are not skilled, not educated, or not attentive. The ore will be made, it’s just the rewards won’t go to the most helpless.

So the skilled, attentive miners cheer on gankers eliminating their competition for them, as they’re getting ahead for the very small effort of dodging said gankers.

Passive aggressive is also a type of gameplay too though.
