CCP Totally Failed it's Hsec players

Never pay “protection” fees. It’s always a scam.

He also lost a billion isk Thunderchild in lowsec equipped with an auto cannon like his first week. I think the more likely explanation is he bought a lot of stuff he didn’t know how to use in a game he didn’t yet understand and then got mad when his unrealistic and uninformed beliefs about the way it should be were not upheld.

At least you don’t use that on me

I feel most offended that nobody ever asked me to pay it. Or do I have to have 35bn in assets and several stations and yet still pretend to be a ‘poor noob’ in order to get the demand from SRS ?

You’re in the coalition.

That said, I can tell you exactly what to do if you want to pay these protection fees.

Quite understandable she doesn’t as there is a good chance it would explode in her hand due to overload if she was using it on you.

It seems like it is not new players that get ganked the most. It is people who have played for a while that fly expensive things like freighters, marauders, orcas etc. people that have played for a while don’t deserve to be ganked.

Ideally the risk would drop the more you play, but its the opposite. As you make ISK and the more expensive stuff you obtain the higher the risk you get ganked.

I think that these people deserve to get ganked the most. They tend to be money-grubbing, selfish individuals whose sole reason for existing revolves around accumulating and hoarding wealth. They also tend to be the game’s biggest gatekeepers, in my fairly vast experience of dealing with such players. You haven’t seen elitism until you’ve dealt with high-end incursion runners or players reserving vast tracts of null-sec space and resources for their own gain (that other people usually fight for in exchange for little if any compensation). They are the vile bourgeoisie, sucking up all the resources around them like locusts, and suckering others into acting as their human capital in exchange for the promise of material gains that never seems to materialize, all the while bragging about their wealth to anyone within earshot.

Meanwhile, gankers derive a relatively modest income from their activities at best, or lose money at worst. They’re usually welcoming of anyone who wants to join and contribute, especially in the older days when the costs of ganking were lower and didn’t require such a high degree of optimization just to break even. They also act as the economy’s natural wealth redistributors, helping to lower the wealth gap by revoking the assets of the game’s greediest and fattest moneymongers, while driving demand for bulk volumes of lower-end products and activity outputs like clone soldier tags, often contributed to the economy by newer players, because wealthy gank victims don’t bother with such items outside of morally-reprehensible market speculation.

Thats because you are psychotic

They tend to be money-grubbing, selfish individuals whose sole reason for existing revolves around accumulating and hoarding wealth.

And how to accomplish this? By serving the fellow capsuleers. Mining, industry, LP farming etc. You are being psychotic

That has to be some of the silliest logic I have ever seen on the forums.

Of course your blingy Paladin is a juicier target for gankers…or for that matter anyone else. Why wouldn’t it be ? Why should you be able to fly around, risk free, in a bastion mode, 2000 DPS, blingy ship that can Alpha shot most smaller ships ? There should rightly be a target on your head the minute you undock. If you don’t like that, then stick to flying a Condor !

They are minding their own business and dont deserve to get ganked. And with your attitude you are never going to get low and null sec to grow because people never reach a point where they feel like taking risk because high sec already feels risky. Ganking is also likely to cause these people to play other games in which case eventually there wont be anyone left to gank in which case the gankers will leave too.

Better make the actual PVP activities and areas attractive sooner than later

we all play the same game … NOBODY and i mean NOBODY can mind their own business without getting “interrupted” by other ppl !

you have a complet wrong understanding of this game !

“interrupted”

Why do you put it like that

because that is what happen in a PvP MMO ! and if youre smart then youre not getting ganked so i cant say it ! only lazy ppl getting ganked and everybody else are safe

Its not an “interruption” its an interruption and you make it seem as if its harmless. EVE Online is not even a PVP mmo, most people do PVE, mining and industry. Seems like you dont understand the game.

CCP has explicitly said it is a PvP game at its core.

exactly this is what i want to say ! its harmless until youre lazy  if youre lazy your ship changes into a wreck !

then tell me what it is if the main goal of this game is to shoot each other xD

doesnt change the fact its a PvP game

sure  who´s crying in a forum about space pixels and how unfair this game is because the game allowes it ? xD

Calm down, ganker.

Eve is an MMORPG. It has pvp as one of it’s many options but it’s not the sole purpose of the game. That’s like saying CoD is only a pvp game. Sure it’s a main staple of the game but it still has zombies and a story mode.

This might be the single most unhinged chain of reasoning I’ve ever heard in regard to ganking. Your theory is that people want risk but feel like they are getting enough risk in hi sec so never leave? So your solution, for the people who already enjoy the risk in hi sec, is to get rid of it? What?
