Don’t need it. CCP make plenty of money with all the bots they are ingame…

The problem is, they wouldn’t get enough sales through those adverts that most people would ignore and never see to make them actually worth adding, if i’m looking for PC hardware there are dedicated sites for that i’m not going to be looking ingame for it 
So while they have the money to throw at advertising, which they already do on places like youtube, why on earth would they throw money at a game where the sales they generate will be minimal at best, most EVE players are already techies and we can already see through marketing BS when it comes to hardware, we are not the target audience for these products lol
It seems to me that the lack of understanding is more your understanding of cost vs return, in this case it would cost them too much compared to the small return they “might” get, even if 30,000 “saw” an advert there is no way for them to know if that advert will even be useful, for example, showing me an intel or nvidia advert would be a complete and utter waste of time and would still cost intel/nvidia money to display, compare that to them sponsoring a youtuber who gets millions of views on videos or paying for youtube adverts on hundreds of millions of videos and you see why using advertising in EVE would be a complete and utter waste of everyones time and money and only result in negativity from the players
Just because there’s a way to make money, doesn’t mean it’s a good idea.
Especially since ads don’t generate the kind of money they used to in this day and age. Providing advertisements in-game would likely turn off people more than anything.
