CCPlease: Add trig haulers what were yall thinking adding a trig marauder first!?

We Need trig haulers, we should of had them ages ago, when trig hulls were first given to us, now yall just up and dump a trig marauder on us and no hauler which people have been asking for since day one of trigs!?

The babaroga is cool n all, but it’s a hard pass/ near impossible goal for like 90% of the player base.

Give use trig haulers please!!!

use one of the new upwell haulers.

What would a trig hauler do? Get more cargo space the longer it’s undocked?

Generates more salt the longer it is being shot at.

I think a Triglavian hauler would be fun!

… if it would bring something new to the game. What kind of role would a Trig hauler fill?

A Triglavian Marauder is much easier:

  • Marauders are battleships with bastion module to boost damage, defense and self-repairs while in bastion
  • Triglavian combat ships use Disintegrators for damage that spools up the longer the shoot at a target

Trig Marauder is simply Bastion + Disintegrator.

Now what would a Triglavian Hauler bring?

We don’t have any Triglavian non-combat ships yet, so we have no idea what kind of role bonus it would have. Nor do we know what kind of goods a Triglavian ship can carry. And what kind of new role would this new ship fill?

Too many unknowns for now.
It’s much easier to add a Trig Marauder until CCP has a good idea for the role of a Trig hauler.

Give the man a prize!

So make a Trig Combat Hauler.

And what would be the point exactly? Aesthetics aside, I’m just not sure what purpose it serves.

Aesthetics is enough for me. I’m trained in Gallente ships. Have you seen the T2 Haulers for that faction? They’re awful! I use the Upwell hauler and freighter (Deluge and Avalanche respectively) simply based on Aesthetics.

The problem is that they are specialized movers. Granted, I could train up to Amarr or Caldari, but I’d love a Blocade Runner and/or Freighter that had a really great appearance without being specialized.

All of my movers:
Bowhead - Massive ship mover!
Orca- Massive ore mover
Deluge and Avalanche- Massive movers of ice, reprocessed ice, fuel blocks, structures, etc…

But if I want to move a lot of generalized stuff like freighter or corporate containers that are 10,000m3 each? I’m stuck making multiple trips with an Orca because I don’t have an Obelisk. I’d buy one, but I don’t like the Aesthetics.

I know- first world problems. But you did ask. I would buy a generalized hauler or freighter just based on looks. I’d also love a general freighter capable of shooting back! Or, since we’re dreaming, a completely redesigned Gallente freighter with a drone bay!

This really is a problem with two very easy solutions, neither of them requiring a new and expensive hauler with an unclear niche

Yes, the Gallente haulers are somehow even worse from a design standpoint than the Minmatar… (probably why I use Amarr). So you won’t get any argument from me to make redesigning the while Gallente hauler line a priority.

I also can’t fault you from an aesthetics standpoint. So if we were going to introduce a Triglavian hauler it should be something unique.

I was thinking more like, the DST could us a module or have the innate ability to pop into pochven, with the same restrictions as a filament, like Needing to set safety to yellow, and needing to be away from any object, with a 15min log-off timer so you wont just be able to spam it. But unlike filaments you wouldn’t need to be in a fleet to use it, and it would be a bit more targeted, like it would take you into the nearest pochven system, and it would also send you to the nearest minor victory K space system Null-low.

For the blockade runner, it wouldn’t have the filament ability like the DST, but maybe be able to jump through all pochven gates regardless of standings.

As a role bonus, maybe within trig controlled space they wouldn’t be affected by the debuffs, like the slower warp speeds.

The only way we’ll see more Triglavian or Edencom ships is if there’s a case for use in null-sec. If you look at all the new ships added over the past year - only two (Deathless) weren’t specifically targeted for null - although the point could be argued that null mainly benefits (since they won’t see widespread use in high-sec and wormhole space).

I wouldn’t mind seeing an improved T2 faction freighter that has something other than 3 low slots. An Obelisk with 2 Rig slots, 3 Low, and 4 Mid slots as well as double the cargo space would be worth the ISK.

And weapons.

The issue here is “double the cargo space” on something with anything like tank. You would immediately take over the bulk hauling space because of efficiency.

I would mind.

What’s the point of the current freighters in the game if you introduce such powercreep?

Players who suggest ‘bigger better badder ships with twice the stats!!’ tend to forget that in EVE all ships are meant to be relevant. What’s the purpose of T1 freighters if your wish came true?

At least T1 combat ships are the cost effective variant when there also is a faction combat variant. This is useful as you can lose many T1 ships for the cost of one faction variant of the ship.

This isn’t true for freighters, as the cost of losing a freighter is usually decided by the contents rather than the hull, unless you’re flying it empty.

So please explain why T1 freighters would still be relevant after such powercreep?
