The EVE client by default saves text chatlogs for EVERY channel you are present in, including private conversations you start, and those logs are saved in every client that is part of that conversation, its just a default thing, i have like 8000 chatlogs on my current install lol

So the topic is finding a way for new players to stay involved in the game, so new groups can form and the seeds of eves winter can spring.
If you want me to start a forum thread about ESI check sites, CCP alts and Null sec orgs requiring the ESI… we can talk about me doing that in another thread later.
i’m trying to get a discussion going on how to maintain/share the pain of eve with people in a way that allows them at least the faintest hope of freedom or self made success, just enough to the point where they dont leave the game.

I understand being a bitter vet in an MMO, hell, i was one for awhile… in my career in another game, i would say i was responsible for making something along the lines of like, 20,000 people quit the game while i was in my bitter old man stage of MMOing. After that, i got involved in the global competitive side of that game and started helping people learn and teaching. blah blah, issues with developer selling and adding more updates and micro transactions, insert MMO gripe essay, and here i am as a newb in eve.
as an experienced war MMO player, believe me when i say, i understand the pain of seeing a new player get for free, some item or access that took you thousands of dollars and years to achieve. i understand the desire to hunt in a PvP game, and to wreck stuff. but a big part of why im in eve, is because the veterans in my game, didnt think about game life span.
i’m willing to bet a lot of you long time players, LOVE this game…

You have no idea what a bitter old vet is. I have 3 accts. I resubbed this one out of ego. I wanted all my sub cap skills to 5 before I unsub again. “I” don’t do what your complaining about. “I” give isk and support to new players who at least try. It’s pocket change to me to help. Why do I get spit upon for doing this?
CCP made the game hard. I admit that. But then again, that’s why I play it. This is not a casual game to play…

There is no reason at all that a small, new player Corp should be war eligible.
Create a separate corp with an alt, and only have that corp own any assets. Then adjust the access rights so the main corp has access.
The main corp is then war ineligible and structures should be destroyable, so no changes to the current war mechanics are needed.
!st step on the forums anyway is to ask. “Almost” all the worst forum troll’s will bend over backwards to help when someone asks, ok, I f’ed up or we f’ed up. You think you guys are the 1st to go through this. I became a bitter old vet by default, not through any goal of mine.
And have a sense of humor please. That also helps a lot as well. We all lose stuff. How much did you lose? When it’s 10 bil or more and you still make a comeback, then you can ■■■■■.
