if there is a group of new players, and they manage to get a holding corp for their structures, the place holding corp is still war eligible. and then the leader of said group has to re organize those new players into fighting for the structures using plex, or the structures go down within days of opening up to fleets of 20 guys in loki’s drekavacs and battleships
trust me, i know because im a new player and have seen it in several new player corps already.
new players cannot have a structure without plexing like crazy AND calling in support/getting involved with a group large enough to easily handle a 100 man high sec ganker team.
Really easy solution here. Pay them and you might just end up making a friend.
this isnt in game, a scam here will get you
There are a few things here.
- If the holding corp just has a single person in it; and the structure is located in a quiet system away from the trade hubs, it’ll almost never be wardecced if it’s kept fueled.
- you don’t need to get the new players to defend it. Hire mercs.
But, at any point where, new player or not, a group decides they want to own assets in space, they need to be able to defend those assets (by themselves or through friends - paid or not).
EVE isn’t a cotton wool wrapping, caring environment. Assets can be shot and you need to account for that.
So make friends who can help you defend, or finds ways to operate (eg. using other groups assets) that mean you don’t need to own an Upwell Structure or POCO.
But if you want to play in the full sandbox, then you need to be able to deal with the sand castles being kicked over.
It would be totally exploitable to make it possible to own assets that can’t be destroyed. Large groups would just change ownership through new account alts and never be at risk.
