Chaos Era Continues - Cyno Update

So what will you do once getting caught becomes the norm in nullsec, and not something that only happens to morons who can’t follow basic precautions? Because that’s what CCP has in mind with this chaos stuff.

By then the people who can defend their space well will be the ones sending out their own gangs to hunt down the hunters whenever they show up.

Everything will go up in price… so PLEX will go down in price.

Just think about that for a moment.

As prices go up, ISK becomes less valuable per unit. PLEX, otoh, remains exactly constant in value: 1 PLEX == 1/500th of 30d, or ~86 minutes of game time. So if ISK is getting less valuable, and PLEX continues to be worth 86.4 minutes of game time, you’ll be able to get more ISK for each PLEX.

That’s one of the big reasons CCP’s been trying to re-inflate the value of ISK (ie: deflate prices): to bring down PLEX prices. Now, this move isn’t going to do that for Highsec. This is going to encourage people to not move things from null to high, and vice versa. It’ll encourage local production—because of the potential increase in operating costs, and the potential increase in effort needed to move things back and forth.

That means local prices out in null will drop, but in HS, prices of T2 items will rise (because that’s what the moongoo and other things that can only come from null get used for in HS). Mineral prices may continue to rise, too, as we continue to not send our wares to HS’s markets. Trit in 1dq1 is already only 62% of it’s price in Jita. 4.5 ISK per unit compared to 7.2 ISK. Amarr actually sold out of Trit this week.

And what do we see on PLEX prices? PLEX prices over the last 3 days have started coming back up.

There is downward pressure on PLEX prices right now… but that downward pressure is bad for EVE: it’s reduced demand, because fewer people are on (15k at 5:41 on the 3rd Thursday of the month, same as the 15k last month - during the BO, and down from 16k on the 3rd Thursday of June, before the BO.). And as of this week, that downward pressure is no longer the dominant force it had been.

your math is wrong, but okay. not reading this as for now, it wont matter what you say, as the future will be different than you predict. otherwise you should give me the winning lotto numbers so i can be a billionaire tomorrow

Don’t hold back now, tell us all how you really feel.

I was crazy about this game when I first started just about a year ago. I have 4 accounts and I spent a lot of real money on skill injectors to make up for years of lost training time.
First thing I did was inject into a Rorqual because I saw how much money they could make (a year ago). They’ve since been nerfed 3 times directly, and now indirectly with the blackout.
Next I decided to get into a JF which works out just fine if you can keep business flowing, and afford all the cyno alts you need to run them. Now they want me to skill my alts even further if I want my JF to keep making me money. On top of that l will have to anchor my own stations along my route OR lose a ~50mil ship every time I want to utilize an NPC structure.
Finally, I injected into carriers/dreads for a chance to participate in those epic capital battles that initially lured me into Eve & maybe even make some money carrier ratting (Just bought my first super last week). I can do every faction (except Caldari) carriers & Fax, and the Gallente Dread. First they mess with insurance payouts (understandable). Then they blackout null. Now they are making it to where you can’t even call for backup if you get into trouble.
My character is just under a year old and she is 50mil skill points + about another 50mil sprinkled between my alts. I feel so ripped off by this game. All they have done since I’ve started playing is take away from it. I want my money back. Honestly who can I speak with about refunds because this game just keeps getting worse and worse.

They’ll be specific numbers between 0 and 70.

Ok, piece of free advice a year too late:

Don’t do that.

Sorry  I am at that old age now where I am finding it harder and harder to log into a game and now the one I actually still like is turning directions. “sucks”

Black out was interesting, annoying for indy, but interesting none the less,
This cyno change is plain suicide.
The sandbox nature and huge battles that happen out of the blue is why I play this game.
Its not a sandbox anymore, its just another MMO and those battles like B-R and M-O will never happen again
You just announced the death of EVE, Well done, hope Iceland has redundancy pay
1 month game time remaining on all accounts, not re-subbing, not worth it.

Ok so first, HAHAHAHAHA.

Now that we’ve cleared that up, Eve goes in cycles, before this Titans were undesirable, Rorquals sucked and weren’t worth anything. They were real heavy garbage that sometimes sat in a tower but mining wasn’t really a great thing anyway, anoms far outstripped the value of mining.

But it wasn’t always that way, once long ago people legitimately mined in barges and exhumers because it was actually profitable to do so, there were no anoms, you belt ratted or ran DED plexes for money.

But it wasn’t always that way, once it was profitable to mine ore from an apocalypse class battleship and people were in Ospreys mining.

What I’m getting at is that EVE changes a lot over the years, never get attached to any one style of the game and enjoy it for its vast depth. Ive seen Titans doomsday from half a region away, ships at speeds that would astound you and Titans with guns that make HAW titans look like little league. Moons that poured out money like a golden fountain, and legends even tell of mighty ships called the Cavalry Raven, NOS Domi, or Passive Shield Tanked Myrm.

All thats come and gone, and all of it will change again at some point.

Learn to roll with the punches sweet heart.

People, go to jita 4-4 and destroy wrecks of monument, if really don’t like this, do more than just write down posts in news threads.

That’s because people aren’t farming the mats themselves to build them or doing the research to build them.

This is by far the best speculation for Industrial players in a LONG TIME.

It gives them a reason to build a specific t2 ship to counter the market demand for them.

Unless it starts to bring all t2 ships up in price, it’s only going to be a temporary bump in price until the market is saturated with people willing to sell for a smaller than “OMG AMAZING” profit.

CCP: EVE whats that, does it taste good? kek. rip

CCP seems to want to close the game and tries to smoke people out first.

  1. jump fatigue timer
  2. nerf capital
  3. black out (some like it some dont - i like)
  4. and now tin … - what is the sense of having capital now (aircraft carrier, rorqual, dread, mother ship, titan …)
It cannot be moved freely etc.
Where having a supper for 80bil + - you are not able to defend it, because even with my own fax I will not jump on my own cyno - can t have it.
Transfer, relocation of capital very limited…

So what is the meaning of ordinary cyno and covert when can use like usual and can fit only on covert ship (black op, recon)

This is a direct CCP attack in the biggest alliance…
But is it their fault that they have a good internal policy, that they can get along with each other and thanks to that they last ??

I think CCP has fallen on his head when he has “better ideas” or he spends too much time in the sun and hits their heads…

I dont use all 8 of them at the same time I only have 1-2 pilots. Plus Im not dropping 8 caps full of ships worth a minimum of a bil to upwards of 4.5 bil on the field. Also most of them will be lit in lowsec so they will have a gang for these and if you ARE dumb enough then theres a few groups…dont know if you know their name that craves a bait and would recon drop dreads on you. im sorry but there has to be a solo mover alternative. Not just for me but for other and more so for newer players

I am really sick of the elite pvp complaining that they can’t kill caps, lets not joke most of you aren’t even actually pvp you sitting on a station spinning your 80 mil bomber waiting for someone in a cloaky undetectable ship to find a target 5 times your worth and you are pressing jump with 100 friends and locking and pressing F1. your not pvping your pressing a button to win.

Your not jumping in a carrier of your own of equal level to duke it out with that ratting carrier because you don’t want to run the risk you would lose and lose your billion isk ship. your not paying for a munnin or battleship and heading there gate to gate to take out the rorq yourself risking being caught by a bigger fleet your waiting again for a cloaky ship to cyno you in.

If you wanna remove cyno remove covert cyno too and literally only have cyno for ships with no weapons freighters and the like for logistics. bring your 100 man bomber fleet through there space with no cloak and see you moan when a battleship smartbombs you on a gate.

Don’t complain small gangs don’t stand a chance when you not willing to put the same amount of isk on the field without a oh wow reinforcement arrive lets warp off and cloak option. or a kill target wait and cloak till also cloaked ship that can’t be found take you to safety. you pvpers are a joke. You want to press button to win the same as everyone but your not willing to put the same isk on the table.

lol )) because capitals were not ment to be a solo ratting boat. suffer. get back in raven and warp to belt xDDD

Covert cyno is unaffected, so it can light that, but T1 cyno is a no by the looks of it

You can use your T3 as a cyno for your JF tho

Agree. A Pilgrim can have 40k buffer with 1000+ dps active when shieldfit… or 30k buffer with 550dps active when armorfit.

CCPLS give blops battleships a 90% cyno reduction. It would mean that solo moving capitals/supers would only require a stealth bomber, a blops, and the capital in question.

Or, just reduce cyno cycle times all together since they’re only going to be on a few select ships.
