I no longer play the game, I’m simply trying to empart that people have opinions, and just because they might not match the exact current state of the game doesn’t make them invalid.
I don’t really know where you’re going with the phone thing, I have done that too?
Maybe I’m aware the game has strong appeal and is in a lot of ways a good game, just because I have decided to leave doesn’t mean I think it’s completely reprehensible. I have well over 15 years experience in the game, and I loved it for a long time. The last few years while extremely negative don’t represent the majority of my time in the game.
Right, I’ve been playing for 19 years and have quit EvE multiple times in that duration.
Not one of those times did I stick around in the forums and continue to seek attention.
Without some warped need for attention, not one person I’ve met in my life has done this. At the most they have their rant thread that they’re leaving and why, and maybe a couple defense posts before they’re gone.
You’ve apparently been doing this since March.
I doubt anyone else find this behavior rational, but they’re free to chime in.
Looking at the thread title again, I didn’t leave because of this, I quickly figured out to never store anything in a player structure (that I wasn’t completely prepared to lose). Player retention is facing other issues though in my opinion, my case being one of them.
Which is irrelevant to the point I’m making. You posted a thread about your bad experience in March, asking for Vanguard to be extended to Alphas. You say this bad experience is your cause to stop paying for/playing (you’ve said both) EvE, so therefore this event happened before that date. That means you’ve spent at least four months just lurking here for attention.
Why should we listen to you when your entire purpose for being here is glaringly disingenuous now? Are your replies genuine or are they framed to generate the attention you seem so desperate for?
Oh yeah I remmeber that, I was looking for a potential life line, as I just said, I see EVE for the good thing’s it offers. I was disappointed to find I couldn’t even try a new product from them just to see if I might be able to rekindle the relationship.
My bad experience was probably 3-4 years ago. I played some of the time after that simply because of how much isk I had.
“For attention” assumption built in is intended to illicit an emotional response. Why? I’m not here for an emotional relationship with you, why are you trying to create one?
Who waits 3+ years to finally let a bad customer service experience get to them? I didn’t continue using Amazon for 3 years after my bad customer service. I waited til my shipment arrived and cancelled it immediately.
I spent 20 years in retail. Want to guess how many people that weren’t completely unhinged I had stay at my store after declaring they weren’t doing business there anymore? The number is less than one.
Whatever, dude. You tell yourself whatever helps you sleep at night. What little credibility you had is gone.
Well to talk in terms you might understand, I had decades worth of coupons for the retail store. I didn’t mind still receiving their services for several years because it didn’t cost me anything.

Well that’s kind of why I’m still here, I live in hope that I see something that indicates the game is moving in a development direction I agree with. The bad customer experience was only one part of my reason to leave, the other part was the increasing insistance that I should be burning more and more of my time to do the same things in the game. I’m not ok with that.
lol, from what I heard the WH people basically had to beg CCP to disable Asset Safety in WHs, because they are people who are actually understanding what it does to the game.
Asset Safety needs to be removed or at least nerfed a lot in the whole game. It’s an incredibly bad mechanic, along with most other citadel-related mechanics…
