Client crashes when trying to "get window"

So I just installed following https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Installing_EVE_on_Linux and it launches and can stay open as long as I dont click into the window or press ctrl-f. I can open the settings click around in there and activate modules but can click anywhere in the window or it will close. Anyone have something similar like this and have a solution?

But you don’t need the Linux-native launcher. EVE does run out-of-the-box on WINE these days, launcher and game, and requires little work to get it running. See here:

If you want to avoid all the fiddling on Linux then I suggest you go with the later.
