Youre the one who started to post some really stupid ideas, so I responded.

Again. I respond to the arguments and the content. Not the player behind it. Doesnt matter who you are, if your idea is stupid, I will call you out on it.

Sounds like you made a mistake, made a stupid argument, and are now trying to backpedal out of it.

If this is true then he needs to play a different game. Something like Minecraft where he can never lose and everything is safe.

I would accept a small safe space with limited resources in exchange for the removal of concord everywhere. Just faction police remaining.

I would accept that, too. But it would have to be 2 systems, 1 belt, with NPC miners constantly there. They offer level 1 security missions only.

How many would go to a null sec everywhere server, start over from zero, if CCP launched it tomorrow?

If mining so amazing why you donā€™t start making that dank isk?
Everyone has their own playstyle. Everyone knew rorqual mining was OP so it was nerfed. Ganking should receive same ā€œbalancingā€.

Well if you are doing this only for RP purposes. Then you know that kind of people would be hunted down sooner or later. Since eve online does not have ā€œpermanent deathā€ or ā€œtime sentenceā€ mechanic. And standing loss or ship loss are meager inconveniences.

CCP stated that every action should have consequences ā€œrisk/rewardā€ while your reward destruction of your target, the risk part strongly lacking.
And even more if you doing this for RP purposes and not for an isk, then some ā€œbackfireā€ mechanic should be even more interesting for you.

So from what I understand that you made yourself complacent with current game mechanics, and not able to even consider the possibility of change. And that is fine. Unfortunately you and me know where the current is flowing.

What I see, is a pilot without a mining permit. A dead pilot.

Ganking miners is already one of the most hilarious and fun things you can do. So no, thank you very much.

There are countless other game mechanics in this game that could benefit from being ā€œmore interestingā€, why not ā€œimproveā€ them first if you care about the actual gameplay :slight_smile:

For example, mining is an extremely boring game loop. The only excitement and entertaining moments a miner will ever get is when he gets ganked and explodes. So to make it ā€œmore interestingā€ CCP could just make it easier to gank for new players, I think that would make a brilliant starter profession.

Majority of ganking cats donā€™t have webs. So it is possible to mitigate their dps by moving away. Some gankers will be aware enough to pursue you, but some wonā€™t and youā€™ve got nothing to lose by moving.

The risk/reward is set by the player being ganked.

If you carry less you are lowering the reward. If you are paying attention you are increasing the risk.

This is why ganking is such a great mechanic. You are only as easy to kill as you let yourself be. And the gankers only get paid as much as you willingly load into your ship.

It takes 10 players in 10 destroyers to take down a fully tanked procurer.

Thats 10 players, and 100 million isk

The risk is losing your ship and standings. You lose your ship no matter what, irrespective of whether the gank was successful.

What is the reward in killing gankers, here? Oh, thats right. Possibly 4 million isk in modules, sometimes 6. Not a lot of reward here.

Seems completely balanced to me. Infact, its skewed towards the ganked.

I think the solution is simpleā€¦make security status directly proportional to the speed Concord reactsā€¦ The higher your security status, the quicker Concord reacts to you being attackedā€¦ It would give disadvantaged solo players a way to help protect themselvesā€¦ I think this would be fair to both sides of it and help prevent solo players from rage quittingā€¦
