I’m simply comparing what the ship is capable of with what it costs. That is where the big disparity lies. ISK for ISK, the SoCT ships are unreasonably effective.

they are very versatile and this makes them effective ! thats true, but still compared to other ships you lose more then you gain. dont say its not a good ship but i always compare it to other ships.

Since Marauder have frigate bay you can get astero warping sub 2 sec, and with cover cloak, and enough cargo space to get the expensive mods into it. But you would eventually fly this Marauder with expensive fitting. This is when you get ganked.

But I have seen marauders being ganked that were not worth it, or orcas that were not worth it either. The loot even with currect drop rate made ganker something like a few hundred millions of isk, or barely covered the cost of ships that were used. Or they are very desperate or dont really care about isk (really rich gankers), they would rather go and prove a point about ganking, that everything can be ganked and will eventually be ganked. They do not even need some ulterior motives.

Yep!

Sure, and that’s not a problem, but it is off topic, so not sure why this is brought up. This is completely different situation than the gank OP / @Codename_Razorback is complaining about, which was during travel at a stargate. At least how I understand the killmail location being at the single largest space highway in the game.

Yes and there’s nothing wrong with this. Nothing wrong with the game, and nothing wrong with the people ganking.

So you put all the blame on victims? I dont know why would anyone want to fly a marauder then for PvE. There are better games with better PvE anyway.

What blame? There is none.

There is just the game. It is PvP everywhere. Sometimes you blow things up and sometimes your things get blown up.

If you want to get better then you can analyze what happened and work to improve.

In none of the above does „blame“ enter the picture. The only people who reach for the „blame tool“ are people who cannot or refuse to self improve and who refuse to engage with the game.

Call it like you want, Blame or responsibility for something.

Responsible for any situation in game is primarily CCP tho. As they made the rules.

Incorrect. You are responsible for your own safety, within the rules. Which includes ganking.

and we all play within the rules ! if you know how to then you dont get ganked ! so yes its the victims fault if he gets ganked !

Thats why you dont get more players!

eve dont get more player because its a niche game and not everyone like eve ! if you dont like the rules and mechanics then there are lot more games out there !

Quality, not quantity.

Not everyone wants to play the „hot“, „flavor of the month“, „popular“ game because mainstream gaming culture is pretty toxic and enables bad behavior from gaming companies and each other.

I feel like we used to have a better tier of shitposter around here.

Thats not gow MMORPGs make money.

CCP should remove ganking in high sec by removing ability to set red safety there, reduce all loot and ISK bounties in high sec by 90%, and make people grind or pay with $, not with ISK.

Bots are in null anyway, and if real players would go to null to get ISK, the bots would have to dock up for longer to not get caught.

You sincerely think this is a good idea.

looks like CCP got enough money from their playerbase or not ? so … they are doing something right !

then CCP should kill your playstyle too ! why ? because i say so

Not.

They release less content and get less players than in previous years.

they still exist or didnt they ? tell my why they dont make enough money and where you get these information !

then its a good thing that CCP also sells skins and various other things

Yah he long gone by now. :joy: :joy: Laughed him right out of the room. Just another clueless vet in EVE who never really learned about the 101s of fitting any kind of ship for different scenarios.

To be honest I don’t even think he ever used that golem in PVE. He probably bought the fit off of a YouTube video/website he saw and was traveling to his lv 4 agent.

Your suggestion would make all assets in Highsec basically invulnerable, including all stuff you can make great profits with, aside from loot & bounties. People could simply move billions of stuff afk from one edge of highsec to another. It would only hurt active players who go ratting, doing anomalies, missions and other PvE content while benefiting the super-rich traders and mass-account semi-afk human-botminers.
Doesn’t look like a well thought change.
