CODE - can anyone can explain?

You are comedy gold, a war dec is a mechanism for hisec wars, but it is not the only way to wage war.

Oh really…

Hmmmm. Safe not save…

What!

As the bumper is the key ship in getting and holding tackle it makes total sense to keep tabs on which gate they are on, but the issue is that you cannot see it. Your issue…

Better still leave hisec to the easy kill merchants and head to nullsec for more engaging high level content.

Cry more please, it is so winsome… not!

You are funny, but that is not a compliment in anyway. And with that I will stop responding to your special kind of madness, even though I find you hilarious.

CODE. to me looks like the metal bands in the 80s facing all the haters who thought they were satanic.

It’s just laughable at this point.
Just because you don’t like their art doesn’t mean it’s not legitimate and better than the poor things you do lol

It’s always been laughable, Well it is as someone who has never lived in Highsec. :smirk_cat:

Everyone starts in highsec and lives there for a couple of minutes

That makes no sense. Following someone everywhere for as long as you want is by itself NOT harassment and not against the EULA, nor is it scouting and reporting his position and activity to others. Unless there is some essential additional information you may be omitting here, reporting someone for doing that would hold absolutely no merit.

I once had a ganker claiming I was playing against the EULA by harassing him because I killed him jumping gates three times in a row and he interpreted I was focusing on him. It was one of the best laughs I’ve had in this game. At no point did I think I was doing anything wrong nor would I have cared if he had “reported” me for doing that.

Following someone forever, everywhere, for scouting and intel reasons is by itself NOT harassment. I have seen no CODE members say otherwise, but I’ve seen @Ima_Wreckyou say the same I’m saying in this very thread.

Can you show an example of any CODE member that has said otherwise or tried to muddy the waters on this issue (and was not joking, that is)? I’d love to make him a primary target if I ever encounter him in my area of operation…

What? This is starting to look like the AG channel with plenty of misinformation being spread without checking the facts…

Where has CCP stated something like that? The only thing I’m aware of that could be remotely related to what you’re saying is bumping. Following players around several jumps away to keep bumping them is harassment. AFAIK, following them for scouting and intel reasons is NOT harassment.

That may be the only reason to do it for you, but if you wanted to play anti-ganking, you might want to follow a specific ganker or bumper around, just the same way you’d want to follow a war target if you were at war… and, again, you wouldn’t be doing anything wrong or against the EULA if you did that…

Yep which is why we found it amazing. There was a thread about it just after it happened and the player concerned had not said anything to him, just followed his Macherial and reported his exact location in AG intel. He was pretty relentless doing it which was fun to watch. But CCP sent a warning mail of some sorts I can’t remember the exact text, he was a newish player and it did worry him. We just told him to counter petition it and continue doing what he was doing. It was a couple of years ago.

Totally agree, which is why we were so amazed at the player concerned. I think that character is no longer used to bump as I have not seem them reported for some time, he was not in CODE as such when he did this, but CODE / Goon characters were in the ganks that he bumped for them.

There was no insults from what I was told, the bumper started getting shirty with him in local a couple of times then did that, he was just following that particular player and reporting him. in AG intel He even complained that it was affecting his gameplay. We assumed he was trying to make some sort of sarky point like some of the other posters here and you noted Scipio’s post, that was why I asked Scipio to clarify what he meant.

I think the player concerned thought it was funny to do that, but it backfired rather a lot. I will try to remember the characters name.

I called code members zealots for a reason. I’ve never seen role players so convicted to a cause. Unless of course you observe them in their own channels. Just make sure you don’t profane Jimmy 314. They don’t like that.

If I would find out that my favourite satanic band isnt satanic, I would probably call Beelzebub to deal with them. I am not surprised.

Oh you can bet he does. My guess is it was some disgruntled white-knight who spew profanity in local while he followed them around. Maybe the story will surface one day

It’s like you are one if those corrupted souls who knows they are evil and don’t dare to speak the saviours real name in fear of being struck down by lightning

Thats… disappointing.

I’d be more dissapointed in those calling themselves the enemy… at least Voldemort has an actually threatening team against him :joy:

Jones 314 probably deserves only such team against him tho. Why bother.

I camped Little Jimmy in a station for over an hour one time. He was afraid to undock and chose the jump clone route. What a great role model.

They treat them with love. They stretch their arms and show them the beautiful world that is New Eden in its true colors. You should thank CODE. for that every day!

I was once a skeptic, but through the grace of James 315 I was baptized in the light of The New Halaima Code of Conduct.

I’m grateful every day that James was democratically elected as the leader of high sec space. Through his wisdom and leadership we can all find relief from the abuses of the hauling and mining cartels that plague New Eden.

My friends and brothers, pay no heed to these blaspheming miners and haulers. Join us, as brothers in arms and have all things common unto us. Rise up against the miner and haulers who would enslave you at every turn.

For those who would haul and mine, repent and buy a permit. Message me in game or use the discount code “LulzHoodwinked10” to receive a 10% discount on your permit.

No one has written that following them for scouting or intel is harassment. That would be idiotic and as above, if you somehow read my statement as saying that (it doesn’t), then my apology.

Can you quote where I wrote that?

You didn’t mention any specific reason that would make following someone around to be considered harassment, and that’s what made your statement wrong. What you said (and I already quoted in the post you’re replying to) is that the mere fact of following someone around could be considered harassment:

Now, maybe you meant something else and expressed it incorrectly, but that’s what you said and as written it’s wrong.
