CODE?

Pardon?

CODE nor any other corporation has the ability to own any system in High Sec, at all.

If CODE owned High Sec then CODE would not have too worry about Concord or the local Navy fleets coming after.

It is safe to say that the argument about CODE owning High Sec is entirely a flame post issue that is meant to get people worked up over.

By that logic. No one anywhere can own any space. Since even in sov null you pay rent to concord.

Obviously that’s rediculous, people can claim any space they damn well please. So long as they are capable of enforcing that claim.

Code has decided to claim all of high sec, and they seem to quite regularly enforce that claim, until someone shows up and fights them for it. I’d say that it’s pretty damn solid.

Don’t like It, then claim your own little corner and push them out.

Case in point:

One of the best parts of the article:

One night, a new member of the San Francisco police department arrested Emperor Norton. The young policeman thought anyone who claimed to be the Emperor of the United States might be a danger to the public. Very soon a judge and the chief of police arrived at the police station. The judge said, ā€œThe Emperor has hurt no one that I know of.ā€ He quickly ordered the Emperor freed and apologized for the mistake. From that time on, the San Francisco policemen showed respect to Joshua Norton by giving a military salute.

Anyone can claim anything, including ownership of territory. What matters, in that regard, is either what ā€œthe peopleā€ think, how much military might that ā€œanyoneā€ has … or both.

For the exact same reasons I claimed to be the ā€œresident outlaw of Hekā€ and owner of the system, with the majority of residents backing up my claim, even helping me defend it from ā€œevildoersā€ (which was mostly other gankers who I did not want to have sitting around at gates).

So … when the New Order claims to own all of highsec, then that’s legitimate. As long as there is no one fighting their claim with actions, their claim stands as long as there are either enough people backing it, or as long as they have the military might required to legitimize the claim, or both.

That is a very correct assumption, as in that kind of cases someone might skipped his required medication and may represent a danger for other citizens…
Is somehow weird that is yourself the one who picked that specific case to compare with, as i always asked people who pretend to own high security systems if they took their pills.
And you might not be aware but an untreated psychosis can be very dangerous, really.

You accepting your life and role as a low life peasant doesn’t mean that someone who isn’t has some sort of mental issues. You can pick that single line out of context, but the paragraph matters as a whole.

A judge called him Emporer and he likely did that because he accepted the claim, for whatever reason. Will you now claim that judge had mental issues too, magically spreading them to the police officers as well? And all the people who accepted the Emporer’s claim are mentally ill as well?

The only one here who has apparent issues with his mental well being is the one who believes that anyone who doesn’t want to be a low life, irrelevant peasant somehow has them. There’s no problem with you being you, and accepting yourself as that, but that doesn’t mean that someone who refuses to be like you automatically has mental health issues.

The ā€œproblemā€ here is ā€œyouā€, not those who refuse to be irrelevant slaves to the system.

The reason may be to not further aggravate his psychosis.
In cases when you deal with that kind of mental issues is better to not contradict and trigger an aggressive behavior, so that judge was most likely an wise guy who knew how to deal with a nut…
So that is not a legal precedent who legitimate crazy people to pretend being emperors, kings, etc.

You can keep making this up, but you have no proof that he indeed has mental issues. You’re biased against people who do not wish to be low life peasants and instead make yourself believe that obviously he must be mentally ill, because normal people wouldn’t do this.

No … normal people would do this. It’s the mentally ill who accept their low life peasantry, who vote politicians into power despite those politicians never actually caring about them in any way or form. Unlike the Emporer, who has proven that he does. There’s more articles about him, you’re free to read them.

Stop being envious of people who are better than you.

Sure you are better than me and you are also owning Hek system… Now start again to take that small blue/red pills that make you feel better, OK? :hugs:

Man, your posting history reeks of peasantry. You seriously have issues with people being better than others, aka yourself. The evil suicide gankers who dare to do what they want, who refuse to obey the ā€œlawā€ and ā€œterrorizeā€ the poor, innocent, helpless, defenseless citizens of highsec just because they can.

You don’t want that at all. It’s no wonder you oppose anyone who does not want to be irrelevant and small like yourself.

I hereby nominate Blade Runner as emperor of all high-sec, he is the chosen and appointed savior who will liberate high-sec from the scourge of james 315. his consent is not necessary, simply our belief, for with great faith, we can achieve anything. all hail the glorious emperor Blade Runner, for surely he will save all the poor miners.

Does this mean I can lay claim to the lands of Narnia if no one challenges me?

yes, thats exactly what it means. now its still up to you to convince people that your claim is valid, but up until someone challenges it, absolutely nothing is stopping you.
