Combat ceptors, still homeless

Ab boost already exists as a sansha thing though. I’d rather them get scram shielded mwd anyway because they’re tougher to fit, burn cap like crazy, and steal a percentage of cap in the first place. Allowing them to fit abs that behave like mwds would make them easier to fit and a hell of a lot less cap hungry. I think that would be enough to have them see a lot more use.

Outright neut immunity would be op as ■■■■. Web resistance would be nice, but i think that if they can keep their prop on it’d be enough.

4.5km/s cold on a peasant fit ceptor that can’t be scrammed is “enough”? More like uncatchable

Give them reduced pg/cpu fitting on prop mods so they can overprop

It just means you’d need a web or two. Remember they’ll still be ballooned if the prop stays on.

“Ballooned” as in turning 40m sig radius to 80m?

100% bloom is far from insignificant. Webs also apply past scram range. Use webs.

I wonder what @Beast_of_Revelations thinks would be a good buff to combat interceptors.

Congratulations. I fear that an overheating bonus may not be enough to make these things competitive.

Maybe not competitive yet, but at least they’ll have some purpose now.

i understand its a perspective issue
but how to solve it?
combat ceptors , verry fast frigate with good damage
looks good , its used in low sec
the problem is … TIER 2 FRIGS ARE OP… they are stronger than destroyers t3 in low
i killed several t3s in my t1 destroyer , but i CANT kill a t2 frig … so to me they should keep the combat ceptors were they are and NERF t2 frigs , bada bin bada bumm FIXED , 15 sec assault damage control is to much, there are frig fights that last 10 seconds …
but them… there is the null sec dudes
to them combat ceptor don’t have nullifier so its useless … and t2 frigates are balanced …in fleets and to roam around with less fear in their hearts …
what to do?

If they removed interdiction nullification from the fleet interceptors, it would balance things. Giving half the interceptors a magical superpower and giving the other one nothing remarkable . . . well, it makes the combat interceptors seem lame.

they say t2 frigs are balanced because they just care about f1 from distance and in the case of yellow box , assault damage control so the wanker in the logi can have time to heal them
btw they love to assault damage control to crash gates in case of a camp…
you see? there is nothing to do with pvp … they just want to survive and run away

oh i forgot , wen you are ganking someone 10 vs 1 , you can assault damage control so you will not die and give a solo kill to your enemy

just nerf t2 frigs… assault damage control 15 seconds in cruisers , 5 seconds in frigates …
maybe 2 % more damage to combat ceptors so you guys can be happy

If you go dual prop it gives you a way to get out, maybe. Remember its job is to hold a scram, not drive by hold, for heavier tackle to land, lock, scram. In the past you paid the ceptor to do that job and an Atron could preform it just as well as a taranis at a fraction of the price. It will be a little bit fiddly but if you overheat the ab and burn like hell you might be able to get clear of the scram and save the ceptor. Maybe. I will refit the ones I’ve got collecting dust and evaluate it myself.

Tut, I dont support nerfing ■■■■ that works to “fix” ■■■■ that doesn’t. I dont understand why this is the default mentality around here. Fix the broken ■■■■, not break more ■■■■ so the previously mentioned ■■■■ appears less shitty. They’ve also already nerfed assault frigs twice recently. Adc went to 13 seconds and they all got slowed way down. The latter coming at the same time combat ceptors got their damage buff it was quite clearly designed to make ccs more attractive but failed miserably.
