You didn’t look at how long this character has been around. And yes beta days were different than today, but eve was a new concept of mmo back then and only other competition was Mankind out of France at the time.

As for beta tester throwing around these says it means nothing, as you buy any early development release you’re a beta or even an alpha tester. Personally lost track of how many I’ve beta/alpha tested, and seen good possibilities never make it to release.
So don’t bother using “I was a beta tester” as it means nothing these days.
Did you play before the wipe or after version 1.5 or was it 1.8? I used to play Mankind. rare to see anyone that played that still around. I tried to bring as many of them to eve, when company gave up and the hackers took over.
Played 1.5 after wipe for a bit, then had family so it and eve took a hit on allocated time…
It was a good game easy to solo play, though having other did help.
The base and space defense setup was interesting.
You do saga of Ryzon that was another mortgage that was around the same time, still going too, but I don’t think it’s development went on as far as eve did. It was another skill Luling based mmo with full wear and tear mechanics on every item in game. It’s been on steam now for s few years.
The size and shape of asteroid fields (they are not belts) is seriously bad.
if you are going to increase the distance between asteroids by 3x, then increase the the range of lasers and survey scanner by 3x to compensate.
or here’s an idea: go back to the great belts everyone loved.
these ore belts are very wrong in so many ways, the shape of them, the hitboxes of the ores, the amount of time u have to move to each ore is crazy n very annoying, the shape of the belts should be put back to what it was, the same goes to the ice belts they suck to, i kno ppl that are thinking of leaving because of these ore belt changes
No where in the update does it say that the mass of moon ore went from 16m3/unit to 10m3/unit. So any perceived increases are not really increases at all. Why would CCP misrepresent a clear nerf as a quality of life update?
