When you play a game - any game - you tacitly agree to play by its rules. Eve’s rules allow other players to attack you. By playing the game, you’re agreeing (which is to say, granting your consent) to play by these rules.

If you’re playing a game where a bank robbery is allowed, such as Eve Online, then it is accepted. That’s how game rules work.
Dude you are so wrong…..it hurts……ganking IS disallowed….and a crime….otherwise concord would not ‘punish’ it….the keyword here should be ‘preventing’ and NOT ‘punishing’….that’s the whole point…..
If it wasn’t allowed, it would simply be prevented. An in-game consequence is not the same thing as disallowing something.
Alphas are not allowed to gank, for instance. The game explicitly prevents them from illegally attacking anyone in highsec.
Are you getting all that? They have a mechanism that would entirely prevent it already in game. They could use it if they wanted to, and they don’t.
You know why?
Because ganking is allowed by the rules of the game.
If ganking was against the rules it would be impossible, or they’d ban you for it.
CCP does neither. Instead they have a system (CONCORD) which imposes a time limit, directly creating the gameplay format gankers use. If actively implementing the systems that create ganking as we know it doesn’t constitute approval of ganking as a playstyle, I don’t know what would.
Do you understand what a game is?
You can fight friendly NPCs in most games and get killed, doesn’t mean that the game bans you for it. It’s just a gameplay mechanic. CCP has said that ganking is a valid form of gameplay…and they have final say in these things.

So what you are saying is if you drive over a red light and a policeman sees you and does nothing because he is lazy it’s ok to drive over a red light? Because that is BS. The fact that ccp does nothing does NOT mean it is allowed…it simply says ‘CCP is not willing to change this because it would be too inconviniend for them’ and THIS is the deinition of lazyness…. but ganking STAYS to be harrasment and the wrong part is ccp doing nothing and not me saying that it is…..
