Reduce the frequency of site spawning
Don’t forget he also eats them…
Ohhh wow, I do enjoy these threads full of screaming panic over something that’s barely been trailed, let alone introduced
Obviously this is gonna be a big change to the ratting in null; it’s really gonna come down to the percentages and if they put in the previously mentioned boost to bounty values. Personally, I’m hoping that this will be enough to make the lower (higher?) truesec systems worthwhile to rat in so that much more of null is actually populated / used - both from my home region perspective as well as for roams.
Ultimately, if you can’t already see the logical system to deal with this (and the mining changes) in an organised fashion, I can’t help you. But there’s a pretty decent option there - especially when combined with the super changes - that will give us a lot more interesting gameplay whlie krabbing as well as upping the likelihood of finding encounters on a roam in hostile territory, and offering new fleet opportunities.
Eve is a game where change should be constant - especially in null sec - and groups need to be ready to think on their feet and hop to. Flying in a relatively small corp, this could well impact our earnings to start with but I’m still looking forward to it as it will get rid of the bunker mentality throughout the game, leading to more engaged pilots and fewer burnouts / bored-quits in the longer run.
Or, it’ll be a total cluster-cluck and all us chickens will get the shaft. Either way, it’s gonna be interesting!
Remember infinite Tracking Dreads due to too much tracking disruption?
Tell me again how blackout panic was unwarranted. How removal of mining panic was unwarranted.
Sub cancel. Perfectly logical system to deal with this.
Otherwise it completely screws with the small guy and the blocs are unaffected… as usual CCP.
Quite opposite, a rapid drop in quality.
Don’t treat the symptom, treat the cause. Bunker mentality is there because of the game state. The latest changes reinforce it tenfold, now there will be no choice but to bunker up even more severely, this is the end times of flying outside of your group’s prime time, and even then, probably the finishing blow for small alliances which were dying since blackout mauled them.
Topic opened.
@ISD_Buldath Who made you open the thd again? I would like to thank him/her.

not so glory idea from bahamut to close official thread
Time to bring along an alt in a ratting ship with the main in his doctrine during this big keepstarbattles.
We already have several plans to break this, and given CCP’s previous retarded design practices, I’m pretty sure one or more of our plans will work, because lets be honest with ourselves here, CCP can’t even code a functioning chat system, or remember that wormholers have keepstars. We’ve got it easy figuring out how to break their systems because they lack any sort of actual competency. And if they change it because it doesn’t work (pppfffttt CCP doesn’t iterate on failed ideas, they abandon them) we’ll figure out how to break and abuse the next version.
CCP didn’t even understand how their own standings system work. (Just one of the most recent mess ups.)
It’s very Traditional EVE thinking, and as always completely ignores what the players actually want in favor of a pet piracy crusade.
The majority of EVE players want actual conflict, you know, an actual fight between willing combatants where they actually shoot back. Not defenseless miners, not level 5 mission runners, not ratters, not gatecamps, not structure bashing, actual fleet/squadron combatant that isn’t janky and pointless.
The bottomfeeding Agro Kids who think late 90’s MMO ganking is still cool will love the continued crusade to ram gank-PvP down everyone’s throat. Can we please dispense with the propaganda about all these changes being something other than what they actually are.
Sorry but in EVE you there is no differentiation between “i want to fight” and “leave me alone I just want to do my own thing in peace”…
If the majority of EVE players want actual conflict then your alliance should have no trouble getting a defense fleet together to fight any bottomfeeding Agro Kids that show up.
Funny, when we do that, we’re called “damn dirty blobbers”
looks like you can’t do nothing at all. the question is what for this circus with all CSM things…
CCP manages to misread their own polls.
They think reduced amount of negative feedback is a good thing.
The actual reason for it is people quitting.
CCP being CCP, they actually managed to misinterpret it that hard.
If CCP has decided they want to do something, no amount of us telling them not to is going to change their minds. They don’t report to me and I don’t own the company.
