CONCORD introduces the Dynamic Bounty System

But it’s not years to fly a titan. With no remaping or implants it’s 220 days. Doing it properly with implants and remaps it’s likely under 4 months.

Multi billion isk ships are disposable? That’s a new sense of scale you have there.

Players will also be drawn in by epic sub capital battles. Because… you know… see above for price, you can make pricey subcaps, and without capitals you will see a LOT more battleships.

I disagree. Neither of us can know what drives new players, CCP will no doubt have the metrics. From my own anecdotal experience, I came to the game because I read about BR5 in a PC Gamer article. Cap fights get a lot of attention and free advertising and a lot of people try Eve dreaming about flying such ships into battle.

Subcaps didn’t captivate me in the same way. I spent years subbing 3-4 accounts to reach my goal. It was a long grind which I thoroughly enjoyed and provided CCP with my custom for a long time.

I don’t want new players losing access to that… Or CCP for that matter.

Frankly, at the prices T1 battleship hulls are going for now, you’re more likely to see a $1 million fight with them than with supercapitals.

I haven’t made an alt in a while, I just remember the last time I did a few years back (ugh), the tutorial literally has you fly by all of the ship classes in the game which progressed up to the titan before the mission ended (damn, that was a long time ago). When my son played it, his literal first words was, “I want that ship!” pointing to the titan.

CCP doesn’t even know how to read their own MER.

442 according to my Gallente alt which is in its sixth week of core training.

Don’t look with an alpha. Try an Omega. Or you know, just halve it to pretend it’s Omega for… 221 days… oh what a surprise.

ah yeah, cursed yellow dots.

When was this? I never did this, and I cycle alts all the time

Like 3 years ago (or so)?

???

If you say so.

I have never even heard of this.

it is or was part of the new player experience. ISTR firing up the UI for the first time in April 2016 and materialising next to an Avatar wreck and thinking to myself “What the hell is that!?” then some voice in my head saying, or something telling me I could be flying one of those one day… jaw hit floor. That thing was gigantic.

It was legitimately part of the tutorial, at least for Gallente. It was some sort of large fleet battle they’re preparing for and you fly by all of the ships (and can stop and look at them up close) while you go to your objective (final objective).

I dont ever remember them giving you fitted ships to fly and taking them away again.

Avatar is a disgusting mushroom, btw, no one with any sense of style would ever think it “aspirational”.

TBH I utterly fail to see the aspriational nature people claim to have in these barely mobile bricks.

Put someone in a corvette right next to a Battleship and it will just as awe inspiring.

first time my buddy undocked in a gnosis and parked it next to my venture, my screen was filled with gold leaf… wanted one. Got 27. :DD

Guess you hate Super Mario Bros., then?

What? Please explain the connection

Why not just reduce the number of rats that spawn? It would only make sense that NPC pirates avoid systems that they are more likely to die in.

Because this would trivialise sites?
