I don’t know why, but I see this update as a screw Delve/Goons thing… CCP in their glorious aptitude in long term game development and planning don’t want people banding together to build an enormous sand castle in space with big space ships… even though those big fights gets them publicity. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.
tinfoil time: your nullbear friends were only acting that way to get your to side with them against the other nullbears… you’re a victim of an intricate and devious psyop!
Excellent change.
First and foremost it is an ISK faucet nerf in the ballpark of probably 20-30%, mostly where it belongs, nullsec.
I think this is probably the primary function, considering how they dealt with minerals as well. The way they intend do it was probably a secondary consideration, basically icing on the cake. We will see how it plays out, but again, from where i stand that is a secondary consideration. In the worst case it preserves the status quo in terms of behavior, in the best case it will actually do what they intend.
I don’t see any negatives here. Finally CCP gets of his ass and gets necessary major changes done. I hope there are more shakups coming (ESS, minerals). Ignore the whiners.
Considering the math skills involved in the estimated price of things ingame this could become sort of funny to watch.
Damn, I’m late!
Of course you don’t see any negatives, you’re just like the short sighted idiots who thought that the blackout was a good idea. Hate to break it to you, but players don’t stick around to play a game they don’t enjoy. We clearly saw that with the 36% drop in average players online during blackout. Yet you actually think that that people will continue playing when the Devs have taken an adversarial position to their playstyle, which was at one point not only supported by CCP, but actively advertised and shoved down their throats. CCP has actively destroyed HUGE time investments in the game, in what appears to be a greed fueled play to get more people to buy extractors or injectors. Not really a surprise coming from the company that published “Greed is Good”, and completely backtracked on EVERY SINGLE PROMISE regarding injectors.
I recall when the game had scarcity and it was way better back then.
You seem to forget that an “investment into a game” is directly correlated to the perceived achievements. When everybody can fly the best ships and losses mean nothing, the game means nothing.
There is currently only one rare resource in this game, player bodies and their time. That needs to change.
Eve is way too easy and forgiving at the moment. While i agree with the skill injector issue i don’t see any connection to CCP trying to fix the broken economy. Who cares about entitled crybabies, i would gladly trade those for the long term viability of the game and CCP seems to agree.
Not only did I really enjoy the blackout, I saw a lot of my old corpmates who’d stopped playing, resub because of it.
Merin and Nevyn are making sense, everyone else is an angry krab, seems like a typical discussion thread on a relatively minor change to the game.
You actually think people will go “rat” in systems that have PVP because there are increased payouts?
- no, they won’t.
This is nothing but a nerf to ISK making that nobody asked for, how about you do something about NPC agent missions instead since those badly need some loving.
It’s almost as if they don’t understand what makes society work.
Well, you convinced me, I support the new changes!
People have been asking for a dynamic ratting system for years, where have you been?
There are plenty of situations where our suggestions are taken and make their way into the game. There are plenty of situations where our feedback has stopped bad things from being done, or changed how something was implemented so it was received better. We work closely with all the different teams and we provide feedback on everything they present to us.
There have been and there will always be situations where we (the CSM) disagree with them (whichever Dev team is working on a feature), and some of those teams are amenable to our feedback and some aren’t. When it comes to stuff the teams believe they need to do for the health of the game, they are particularly resistant when we tell them people won’t like it and it’s a bad idea. That’s where our influence is at its nadir. This is one of those situations - the expect we’re going to tell them players won’t like it, but they feel they have to do it to ensure the long term health of the game, so they’re going to go ahead and do it anyway.
This isn’t to say we’re useless or incapable. It’s just they’ve made their decision and they’ll stick with it until we can say “we told you so” in a way that they’re willing to accept. It has happened before, may happen again. We’ll see.
How rude.
thanks a god i dont pay for 4b for that 0.4 sistem u rent
if it just Ratting drama so who is the point for U being a CSM
I don’t rent anything. I was elected because people voted for me.
Always the same thing from you guys. Force people into ever larger coalitions. I think it’s madness but it’s long been your way.
How does a penalty for too many people living in a space encourage larger coalitions?
I think you might need to explain your reasoning here.
CCP u are mising the importan nerf why u dont nerf the sp farming? XD after all i stop paying omega in the moment my third alt reach 5.5m
pliz doit so i can unsital this game witout worry HAHAHA
