CONCORD introduces the Dynamic Bounty System

No, many of us asked for exactly this kind of mechanic. I am incredibly happy that CCP finally found the balls to tell the RMT botters and bot-like renter alliances “go ahead and ragequit, we’re doing this anyway” and took a step in the right direction.

I wasn’t one of 'em, particularly, but I don’t have to do a lot to adapt to still be able to plex. Comes to it, I can still play Alpha for a bit, right?

That being said, my sub doesn’t run out until next year…

AIght so now we have a reason to have huge corvette wars - it lets us rapidly increase multiplier .

Blockquote * High level of player combat and death? Multiplier goes up

Assuming CCP is dumb enough to have the multiplier be tied to the number of losses instead of the total value of losses.

I’ll take “another forum kid makes a huge assumption” for 100, Alex.

I think the proper target is to get rid of this renter crap. The ISK fountain must die.

I actually watched that the first time it aired.

Because using wider area to extract your resources from requires a bigger force to secure and control that area?

what the hell are you talking about ? I’ve never mentioned about filaments and they never move yourself to high-sec area.

LMAO. Have you ever seen blueloots been transported with Porpoise ? the ship which can’t have covert cloak with hundreads of isk worth blueloots ? lol
If you think that is practically viable options you are so bad at this game. “Theoretically possible” doesn’t mean “viable option in the practical situation”.
And wormhole doesn’t necessarily open to the high-sec station system directly. I guess you’ve never dealt blueloots so you may think those npc buy orders are around every single high-sec stations, but actually they are only on specific stations and those stations are camped by tornads.

Apparently you are sticking to your own “imagination”, here is one of the example of practical situation.
HiltamonVII M5 station is one of the jita-closeby npc station with blueloots buy orders.
This station is generally camped by several tornados. without appropriate pings, you will be blown up.

How does your context link to my sentence ? lol
Typical subject shifting

Except then you have to feed that bigger force, and the larger they get the harder it gets to control everyone.
The ‘Coalitions will just grow’ argument can be applied to anything in EVE. This actually puts some counter pressure on that.

I guess you’ve never heard of swapping ships once in highsec. I mean, I get the idea of your argument, but it falls totally on its face in execution.

sigh.
Could you read the context behind it before posting please ?
This guy said to use porpoise to jump into frigate wormholes with loots.
I guess you insist to buy alter transportation ships in the high-sec connected system after jumping with porpoise and reship to it. It doesn’t sound a viable option at all.

just say it ccp…you want us to stop playing eve online and only play eve echos…

neutral alts in a friendly keepstar using 1000’s of throwaway t1 frigates, they warp to the site and you blap them and keep the bounty multiplier up?

Ok so hypothetically you have some alts or make some agreements with your own renters to have some raiding once in a while with more expensive HACs or whatever, what’s the maths here?

Renters raid you with 5 HACs worth a total of 1.2bil, you have 40 ratters in system making a total of 2 bil an hour, the % increase is how-much? vs the depletion rate of ratting being how-much?

It can be worth it to game the system by just periodically feeding some shinies in to the target system/s, the higher value of the bounties in the bigger systems can get really crazy and it’s not a stretch at all for people to program their bots to run more sites.

I’d like to think you have a good answer to those questions, giving you the benefit of the doubt, but I ain’t optimistic, almost always your economic changes need nerfs later on and sometimes more than once. Are you trying to compel people to run more alts?

Does this update on bountys actually mean bountys on players too ? or just Rat bountys ?

I am hoping that this ESS means that when a player shoots another player a bounty is created by CONCORD on the pirate, the more he destroys other players, the more bounty he will get put on his head, now your thinking, no because that will be abused, BUT when that pirate is killed, all the pilots that he destroyed all get a share of the bounty, not just the player who destroyed the pirate with the bounty…how about that ?

Arent ESS for use in Null?

In connection with the changes in the dynamic reward system, what will happen to the levels of the military development of the system, because in order for the military level to be the highest, you need to destroy pirate NPCs, and if you destroy pirates, then the level of payments falls. It turns out a vicious circle, one change and everything breaks. And what about payments to Concorde for hubs, then they should decrease in proportion to the decrease in remuneration payments. Sorry for mistakes English is not my native language .

Why do people keep assuming that CCP is dumb enough to make the bounty multiplier tied to the number of losses instead of the value of losses? It would be very easy to eliminate this exploit by having the value of ships that have to be sacrificed to increase the multiplier exceed any possible gain from doing it.

Coupled with the Needle Jack Filament, Null Sec should be seeing more and more High Sec Capsuleers Jacking into Null for a three day tour and then Jacking back out.

How does a Jack Run into Null work?

  1. Purchase four Needle Jacks.
  2. Get in a Navy Vexor or Ishtar fit for top end PvE (make certain a Disruptor and Webber are fit)
  3. Needle Jack into random Null.
  4. Rat the belts.
  5. When finished use a Triglavian Inbound Filament to jack into the closest Triglavian held system.
  6. Use an outbound filament to jack back into the closest High Sec system.

*Needle Jacks are also great for escaping that annoying party that has come to gank your ship. The fun part is waiting to use the jack right as they land to lock your ship down.

I’ve read the blog post multiple times and I’m still not sure how CCP thinks this is the thing that’s going to really help alter player behavior.
