In real life where we are alive yes. In a game it will breed complacency because noone wants to lose their shiny space turds and it’s a game so not really worth the effort to struggle for giblets.
And then here in 2021 we see that as an actuality.
Abundance in games drives war and content because then noone gives a toss about losing stuff. Faulty logic to think when things are scarce and therefore more precious, people will fight more. It’s completely the oppposite. Think of it as monkeys. If they have to keep taking a sht and struggling, they wont throw as much crap at eachother. Now if they keep having easy, smooth and frequent shts, they will fling crap at eachother all day.
I showed both my stepdaughters this game (14 and 17y/o) They both love sci fi. They both said it looks old and slow with good graphics. Ill show my 2 month old daughter in 10 years time.
My missus on the other hand (she’s 42) will be playing soon. Go figure.

Okay, so CCP… thing is now people do make sacrifices of their ships. Citizen corps have red killboards (not like they didn’t have em red before lol, but still - the reason is differenet) cause they shoot down empty battlecruisers and such to keep the multiplier up and even grow it while doing ratting. While it sounds okay on paper - if you’re say low on isk and want to join one such corp - you know, rat in null like in the old times, or maybe you’re returning to the game (hint hint - CCP you do want players to come back YES??) and then it that corp they tell you - we will pop you in an unfitted hurricane then you can do 10 anoms in our system then you need to die again. LOL? Srsly? FCK THIS SHT. You degraded my fav online MMO into this nonsence while I was gone for 5-6 years? God bless you CCP for killing any desire to return to this waste of time. Please hire mor of such “bright people” who came up with this whole idea, maybe you’ll finally shut down.
