So this change is mainly centered on Null Sec?
I’m wondering if this will affect bounties gained in Epic Arc missions.
Overall this is a game. If my time in game isnt being productive, I’ll quit and go play something else. First mining goes out the window. Next is rating. Im down for some changes but its getting ridiculous at this point.
Like some have said, this will just make people not wanting to do anything in game. Mine? Not anymore. Rat? Not anymore.
With the changes lately prices have skyrocketed on some things much more than most people make. Yeah, some are profitting but most are not. The ones that are profitting are the ones that use ISK to Plex their accounts and so CCP doesnt see a cent or real money. Those that actually buy Plex with real money are the little guys that cant make enough ISK in game. ANd if they make even less, they will just quit.
No point playing a game that only exists to suck up money.
Will these changes be good for the game? I doubt it, but will see.
Players will hunker down in stations and not want to risk going out because losing a mining ship will equal days of trying to make ISK.

The more spread means longer response times, as well, so there’s a downside, too.

WTF wrong with you CCP, can you stop nerfing game, all what you did last time was awfull ■■■■, you dont wanna do something with lamp,abuse, profit for null space, you use hard drugs and do useless ■■■■, TY, MORE UPDATES PLZ!

Does it? As long as fatigue-less JB routes or blops bridges to beacons are in range of large parts of your space, it’s not going to change a thing. Just like the nerf to anom respawn did not change any of that. All it resulted in was fewer people ratting, which in turn lead to fewer targets. And as said, response times of people watching intel will go up as intel reports are more frequent and more reliable about hostile movements. This will counter act most if not all of the “intended increase in risk from more spread”.
So what about the bounties gained from Epic Arc’s? The Pirate Arcs are all in Null Sec, also some of the level 4 Arcs have missions in Nul Sec.

I read this sentence over and over again and each time I ask myself: how is it possible to completely not understand something?
this can only happen if you have lost the actual source code and only have compiled versions of something. otherwise it doesn’t fit in my head. You can’t program in a way that you absolutely don’t understand what it says or how it interacts with something. Only if some crack has programmed it in assembler language and no one knows assembler anymore. Otherwise as a programmer with 20 years of experience I can only shake my head at such reasons.
Or maybe somebody from new Eden programmed it and got podded by accident.

i absolutely agree that any player hopes of doing pve to plex accounts are being systematically dashed for solo players or small groups. perhaps this is by design. but it doesnt mean they will just open their wallets, it may simply mean they move on to something that doesnt make the game a job. game should equal fun and some just like the pve “play”

It’s because a lot of the code is more than a decade old, and was never properly documented. The coders who wrote it are long gone—in at least one case, literally hit by a bus.

Heard that excuse before, yet newer code seems to behave worse than the so much criticized older one.
Self reliance… CCP will find a way to nerf that too after they go read all the post from the Reddit Crybaby posters club instead of the CSM.
