This problem still occurs, got thrown out like 4 or 5 times yesterday, truly disappointing.
I had the same issue few days ago, disconnections after few seconds of login, that never happened before. With the game unplayable I searched info about what to do and I found that many people recomend VPN.
So I just tried with no too much hope but it worked for me, no more “socket closed”, if you have this issue I totally recommend to use a VPN
