Then quit.
If EvE is so terrible, leave. The game will be better off without your toxicity polluting it.
Bye. Good Riddance. Can I have your stuff before you go?

Why would I leave with the ppl like you and your endless entertaining whines?
Meh, it’s you whining about the game, not me. I’m quite happy with it at the moment.
Then again, it’s a game to me. I will no longer participate in EvE as another job, where I need to make a certain amount of ISK to consider it enjoyable.
It’s a game to me as well and I never had to work at it.
@Angry_Bogan How much are you making from solo mining atm? I’ve been exploring everything in the game like crazy and I find I can get about 150mil/h semi afk solo with mining it seems pretty decent for a semi afk thing tbh.
It’s dangerous thou as I use drifter wormholes to look for mercoxit in nullsec to day trip into from my low sec home.
This is how you play EvE.
Regular wormholes have less “kill you in one shot” type enemies, but if you’re in a mining ship it really doesn’t matter how many shots it took to kill you.
Hi Angry Bogan, welcome to the community.
your post is certainly thought provoking, as someone who enjoys the mining and industrial aspect of this game, in my humble opinion i think it would be better to instead of a new mining ship for the solo miner with new modules and such things which then need to be calculated and balanced and all that nerdy good stuff.
is simply a new mining experience within the game for the solo miner.
an experience which has a healthy time requirement with a reward, something which would be disallowed if involved in a fleet or with multiple users on grid.
I made some ideas about this
from nano micro explosive missiles to using stargate level technology to transport asteroids onto the same grid.
I feel the nature of the problem isn’t actually in the way the ships are designed, its the game play experience of mining, currently things are as good as they’ll get when you look at things purely on paper, numbers on a page, mechanical balance etc.
but theres something to be said for the experience and user approach.
similar to how AFK cloaky camping was an issue.
“it’s not cloaking that’s the problem, it’s the AFK problem”
“its not the mechanics which are the problem, its the experience for the solo miner which is currently lacking”
If only there were a simple, easy for everyone to implement solution to this.
Oh, yeah, make some friends and mine with them.
You shouldn’t be forced to fly with others if you don’t want to, or be pushed into social situations just to play the game.
People play games for personal reasons—sometimes we want laughs with friends, sometimes we want to mine alone. This can depend on in-game and real-life circumstances.
I’m all for working with others to achieve bigger goals, but solo play shouldn’t be penalized. I enjoy mining alone to build up my resources, which is a labor of love.
Mining in EVE is like an endurance sport. Orca pilots go AFK, Rorq pilots are there for defense, barge pilots are content, and frigate pilots struggle to keep up.
Instead of rebalancing or adding new equipment, we need a rewarding solo experience built on the endurance aspect. The current system of low risk = low reward and high risk = high reward, while intended to prevent abuse by multi-boxers, leaves solo players with a tedious experience.
Constant trips to the station make mining dull. Some players step away, look up blueprints, or make spreadsheets for their projects. Not everyone is in it for direct profit; some take pride in crafting and helping others.
EVE’s community spirit means players often help each other out, donating or selling items to replace lost ships. However, solo miners now have a worse experience, especially with the paywall for alpha ships and mining. This affects player retention.
Omega players facing bad experiences shouldn’t have to switch characters or accounts. Solo mining should be a viable option without being forced into social situations.
Let’s improve the solo mining experience without making everything a social obligation.
You have a deeply flawed perception of what a penalty is. The lack of bonuses that you get for flying with friends is not a penalty for flying solo. If none of those friends brings a booster, no one character is mining more than you are.
I believe there’s a misunderstanding here. The core issue isn’t about penalties or bonuses per se, but rather about providing a meaningful and enjoyable experience for solo miners, similar to what group players enjoy.
While group mining has its own advantages and social rewards, solo play should also be rewarding in its own right. Currently, solo mining feels tedious and less engaging compared to group activities. This isn’t about penalizing one play style over another, but rather about enhancing the solo mining experience so that players who prefer or need to play alone can still find it enjoyable and worthwhile.
You also seem to have a flawed perspective of what happens during mining fleets. We chat on discord while we shoot rocks. Outside the boosts provided by the booster, there is no additional experience provided by CCP to group mining.
Please explain what other benefits group miners get that solo miners do not have, I’m confused here.
please actually make the effort to read my above posts.
That’s what alts are for…
No, I read them, I’m still trying to understand what group miners get, that solo players don’t, that justifies solo players getting a benefit for playing solo.
If you want more engaging gameplay, do something other than lock rock, push f1, wait til full. Even when multiboxing, that’s all mining is, just with more alts.
you shouldn’t be forced into using alts if you don’t want to. yet another obligation of the game
join a corp, multibox or don’t play.
great choices…
I think for the player who simply just runs the one account is happy to plod around the universe doing their own thing should be free to do so. I also feel this person shouldn’t have to struggle because they’re not in a group.
surely if we all put our heads together we can come up with something which is:
perhaps the very way we can interact with rocks could some how be improved upon to simply make it more engaging to remove the tedious grind which is now mining.
It has been pointed out multiple times that there are already more engaging activities in EvE than mining.
Once again, you are refusing to listen to feedback. I went over this in another thread. It doesn’t matter how much you “brainstorm and explore potential improvements” to the details of an idea that is fundamentally bad at the core.
What is it with you Gen Z/Alphas and your “feels”. I don’t think that word means what you think it means…
Shh, if you tell them they’ll take that weapon/entertainment away.
Youre playing a MMO and youre not suppost to play alone ! again ITS A MMO … solo player need to be punished as hard as CCP can !
Your reward is in your cargo ! If you cant accept it then do enything else ! But you will never be happy becaus your lauzyness reasons …
