Sup gamers. Another year, another CSM campaign.
My EVE online story started in 2010 when my dad asked if I wanted to try some spaceship game. After a few months of missioning and mining in hisec, I dipped my toes into lowsec pvp and never looked back. I spent the next 15 years being part of the most active pvp groups out there. In no particular order I spent time in TEST, CFC, PL, BL, PH, HK, LSH, NSH, amongst many others. I have flown under most peoples’ favorite FC’s and participated in most peoples’ favorite battles. Some more details can be found in last year’s post for those interested. Click here
My areas of expertise
-
Lowsec - I have a very clear understanding of what the state of lowsec is. I have been actively participating in most of the lowsec pvp that has gone on these last few months. It is some of the best pvp this game has to offer (no tidi, capital brawls, less cowardice). Aside from pvp, I also know that lowsec pve in non-faction warfare regions needs to be revamped and is something I would hope to get to work on if elected.
-
Nullsec - I have also spent a lot of time this past year with characters in some nullblocs, participating in the pvp and experiencing the new rejuvenated sov system. (Still never got an officer escalation, not sure they are real)
-
Alliance Tournament - I am currently spending most of my hours theorycrafting and practicing for AT. It is something I have done for nearly a decade now and if I get to spend even ⅓ the time on CSM as I do on AT, I can be a very useful member of the team.
What qualities set me apart from others?
-
I have a more well rounded understanding of pvp and the lowsec/nullsec environments than pretty much any candidate out there.
-
I am a fairly independent candidate. I have friends in different nullblocs, friends in NPC null, and friends all over lowsec. I won’t pretend that I don’t have some bias but I have no allegiance compared to the usual nullbloc reps.
-
I have spent years doing AT and hunting supercapitals. My levels of patience along with my drive for success are second to none, and those that know me can vouch for that.
-
I am an engineer by profession, so solving problems is something I excel at.
-
I speak fluent russian, which allows me to further reach out to members of the community.
Why am I applying for CSM?
I decided to run for CSM last year because I got to a point in my life that allowed me to do so. I have always wanted to try to contribute, but never had the chance. This year is no different but over the last year I have spent more time interacting with a few of the CSM members and having more thoughtful discussions with other players about making the game better.
What can people expect from me?
-
I am a very outgoing social person. I spend a great deal of time yapping on discord so a constant flow of conversation is the least of what i can promise.
-
I have many points of contact to help get unbiased firsthand knowledge of different aspects of the game, which will aid in problem identification and problem resolution.
-
I will gladly take hours dissecting a point of discussion, down to the finest detail.

Someone whose main goal is the health of lowsec and nullsec, with pvp at its forefront
So what changes do I actually want to see?
-
Lowsec PVE changes - Lowsec regions in the game that are not part of faction warfare are heavily underutilized. Aside from the occasional mining and plethora of metenox, there isn’t much to do. I would like to see many of the useless lowsec pve sites adjusted and a revamping of level 5 missions and corresponding LP stores.
-
NPC Null changes - Similarly to lowsec, npc null regions like GW and Outer Ring remain likewise underutilized. I would like to pursue the idea of having the ability for some sort of contestable IHUBs in NPC null regions that also allow for upgrades. The goal being to encourage life in those regions without people being forced into joining nullblocs.
-
Metenox pvp - Metenox in lowsec are in theory a good source of conflict but in practice there are not many that die compared to how many are up across the game. At a minimum I would like to see the metenox timers to be the same as citadels with a +/- 3 hour window but possibly offsetting all timers to be a minimum of 24 hours later to avoid short rolling.
-
Moon mining - One effect of metenox was the tanking of R4 prices. I think metenox should be limited to harvesting R8 and higher to encourage more active mining in the game.
-
Citadels - One big issue I see in null is that groups are hesitant to fight for strategic assets. When a keepstar is the cost of a titan, it is not shocking people will not commit to a supercapital fight over it. Additionally, the sheer number of citadels all over the place is too high. I would explore making citadels cost more upfront and/or greater upkeep cost.
-
Alliance Tournament prize ships - I have a strong opinion that we should be allowed to use AT prize ships in tournaments. The current rules are too restrictive and seem essentially obsolete.
-
QoL changes - One of the things I wanted last year was to add bookmark folders and a larger capacity within those folders.
-
Ship balancing - Siege mode for carriers? buffs for pirate cruisers? Let’s spool up pyfa and get to theorycrafting.
