It’s just forum banter and happens both ways.
Totally dismissible and ignorable, which is true of a lot of the general banter that happens here, but the place would be less interesting without it.

Looks made up… prob one of your alt that you shoot at to pad your KM…
Percentage surely are meaningless as time zones play a bigger part on getting to a gank also if our on line time are different that effects things as well , like the other day I was at work why 2 AG stopped a gank Just the fact that when all factors come together, we can stop ganks is good enough I think.
No, it’s real. I know Zill. In fact I transported that Rupture for him.
But he’s not really a regular ganker, so he probably doesn’t “know” about the whole AG thing. I think he just wanted to try it a few times recently.
Yes……. Percentages are not important. Just a tool to illustrate a point.
Gankers are failing. Well no they arn’t. Anyone that spends 30 seconds looking at zkill can see that.
If you view stopping a handful of gank attempts in a specific system in a specific time zone as a success then fine. Applause. Kudos. You are playing eve…. Engaging in content…. Everyone is having fun. Praise the sandbox.
But making such sweeping statements as “gankers are failing” and the rest of the crap that is being spouted here is just plain annoying. At this point a power cut in a major city would have more impact on the number of ganks happening than you guys sitting at a single gate.
Sure you want to sabre rattle with gankers on the forums. And they will sabre rattle back. But at least try and be credible with the claims.
There’s a psychological bias in play here. If someone is extremely efficient at what they do, any sort of loss/error/failure will be considered as total by critics. Kind of like when the best pro athletes in the world screw up once in a single game, and their detractors act like that somehow invalidates all of their successes up until that point.
The inverse is also true, as in when someone who’s very inefficient or lacking skill scores a victory, and is elevated to the position of a star or hero, despite the fact that they only got a lucky shot, and their abilities didn’t magically improve over the course of a single play.
Don’t give them ideas lol
What certain people posting here seem to forget is that AG alliances and corps existed within the previous war dec anything that moves mechanics in hisec. CODE had its own fail war dec group, and I mean serious fail.
The war deccers did war dec any AG alliance and corps that became known, often seeming to work with CODE, some folded because of it or failed to develop, but many including the alliance I am currently in were not affected at all. One of my AG colleagues was perma war decced by Marmite on behalf of Loyalanon because of his AG activities and kept on stopping ganks regardless.
So much for being crushed under some ones boot…
Ganker efficiency is based all around n+1, it is a counter to most things in Eve…
So much for the forum talking heads…, especially those that cannot put up a war HQ…, or even blow up stuff…
One step at a time. Let’s try undocking first
The cherry picking from Phat boy illustrates the desperate grab for a “win” for the opposition… I cant stress enough that a professional ganker isnt stomping feet about loss. The opportunity to try again is a criminal timer away. Most fleeted gankers are rolling like a well oiled machine ready for the next target.
Wow, gankers fail so hard sometimes.
24 Mil Thrasher? I’m gonna have to look at that one.
Congratulations on getting 2.2% damage. Good luck explaining that to Cilla though.
If i was you I’d be scared. Lol
I was disrupting and webbing the target. My task was to hold him in place, not to kill him. That is what we had the catalyst for.
haha Phat Phil failed to save this one
and this one
Just to ‘defeat’ MacGybo’s performance on these two kills, Phat Phil needs to score another 350 Thrasher killmails. Otherwise, I’d say MacGybo is winning.
Oh for the love of god. Who are these people?
It’s halftime, and the crowd is cheering. Phat Phil is ecstatic about his kill, but the scoreboard shows that MacGybo is winning: 763 points to 2. Will Phil manage to turn this game around, or is he just celebrating his own defeat?
I’d ask how MacGybo can possibly recover and turn things around, but one glance at the scoreboard shows that he is doing just fine.
Don’t forget sleep!
Any time the ebil griefurs are asleep, that’s a ganker fail, because the AGs are keeping the pipes clean!
Utter BS. Whilst I admire the skill of someone like MacGybo in being able to manage 5 accounts, a cargo scanner, yada yada, all on his own…there’s no ‘skill’ involved in a fleet of 23.
I mean…the fleet gets told by the scout when a gankable ship is arriving. ALL the fleet has to do is undock from their station, follow the gank leader ( which is automated anyway ), lock on target, and hit F1. What’s difficult about that ?
When you yourself ganked a noob Venture…what was ‘skilled’ about it ? Poor 21 day old noob likely had no idea what a Catalyst was. In 0.7 status Kamio you can easily get the 2 shots in, with your Catalyst, to wipe out his EHP. Where’s the ‘skill’ in shooting a shooting duck ?
In many ways this is one of the reasons I am AG…gankers are just full of so much baloney. And I’d love nothing better than to tell them where they can shove their mining permits.
