sleeeeeep…
I made a video about the problems with the launch of Crimson Harvest 2018, as well as offer a few suggestions.
Not true. Wrong answer
the mining part is a joke … sorry to say so
you could get 4 of these minerals used for the boosters … but you can skill to get better refining value
you can only use a good refining place (for me it looked like that but i am not sure)
you get out too less … can go mining all day … i have to work … boosters should drop like it was befor … droping bpcs is not a good idea i think
at least we should get 100% of the minerals out of the event ore
4 event minerals is not much … it should be more
JuuR
So lets be realistic for a second.
You want me to mine all this ore and refine it and its fairly time consuming.
On top of that you want me to hunt for blueprints where 95% of hisec blueprints are basics and you are almost lucky to find a standard today (notice I said today)
You also want me to invest in a bunch of other resources that are now mostly overpriced to make anything.
Or
You can mine to 50 points on every alt you can newly make or muster get extended accelerators that are like 3 standards, which cost nothing to build
Yea tough choices.
Thanks…now they’ll take away that reward
You mean CCP favoring a certain group by hand delivering valuable information ahead of time???
Naaaaaahhhhhh…
There’s ONE group that seems to ALWAYS be ahead of the curve… but maybe over my 9 years of playing it’s just a massive coincidence that the ‘elite’ group in Delve is ALWAYS the benefactor of such an unethical player/developer relationship. AMAZING.
Say it ain’t so Margaret!!!

Wrong thread?
Well, this Crimson Harvest’s rats are damn terrifying. Their tank/dps rating is close to the strongest C3 Sleepers. I was surprised about their ability to slowly but truly break of a 180 hp/s tank! I saw like 4 or 5 different ships nearly instantly destroyed by them, while doing the sites. Highest risk can be taken by summoning a two wave spawn in Crimson Harvest Fields. All 5 waves there can be tanked by blingy Marauders maybe or capital ships.
So, I decided to look at zKillborad for Deathglow Scumlords ratings, and I was surprised by amount of faction, T2 and T3 ships he destroyed:
Same for other Deathglow classes.
I do the Crimson Gauntlet sites with my blingy fit Praxis. I am an Alpha. The NPCs pose a great challenge and I like it, and I haven’t died so far.
Flying Gilas in these sites will not always work, they need more tank. The sites are more suited to be completed in a battleship, if you are flying solo.
Personally I like the challenge. And it is better to do the sites in a fleet, even if it is just two pilots. I guess it is not easy to find the balance in difficulty, but overall CCP did a good job.
I only use Alpha skills (currently PLEXed my sub to can train the expanded Alpha skillset so technically Omega at the moment but in reality am an Alpha) and fly a Gila without a blingy fit and can easily complete the sites just have to develop a proper strategy, have a strong tank and pay attention.
Never had to warp out but if things go bad you can do that too, rep up and continue so shouldn’t be an issue.
Though I have to note that I almost completed my expanded Alpha skillset training, literally two skills left (which do not affect the Gila nor its fit I currently use) and will finish in less than two days so I have all the related skills for my ship and fit as high as possible, so a less skill-trained Alpha Gila pilot may have bigger difficulties with the sites, so if you attempt it then be careful and always be ready to warp out instantly.
I actually think the difficulty of the sites is being adjusted as the event draws closer to its end, getting slightly more difficult with time. Like - the Blood Raiders are pushing their forces, to handle the capsuleer threat. I could be wrong.
I didn’t notice a difference (so even if there was it doesn’t alter how difficult it is to complete them, at least based on my observations).
Me neither. The rats are very predictable.
I like the loot now, there’s some additional bounty and sometimes there drops a SKIN. Nice’n’easy.
Now I have to finish some data sites to get all the raw material, the BPCs work nearly all November.
I met some Praxises on my way through the gauntlets, and they all jettison their MTUs… I’m quite tempted to shoot MTUs and wait for these Praxises to attack.
Why are these sites not on the test server? They always have been in the past.
They were, intermitantly. I suspect CCP is attempting to put out events that have not already been analysed down to the microsecond.
Yeah, with Gila it’s doable, but annoying and uncomfortably. I found a HAM T3 very useful and a laser Legion also. But under 1B ISK T3 hasn’t enough tank for 2-3 wave Harvest Fields.
I found the cheapest and most competitive BS fit for Gauntlets and 2 wave Harvest Fields. Can be as effective as a range Kronos, Machariel and Rattlesanke in 27km range!.
Here’s an image for minimum stats to make it working:
- Gauntlets - easy; 2 wave Fields - with overheated Ancillary and be ready to warp out in bad spawns.
use Acolytes vs frigates - they’ll not hit 'em.
140M ISK Praxis. Faction Torpedoes are required! Use Guristas.

A better ship is a Muninn and by far the best ship below BS class for 500M ISK. With 2 DED repairers or Low-Grade Asklepian, he can tank a 3 wave spawn - 1 Silo wave + 2 Warp in spawns.
Both fits requires nice Omega skill points.
Nice suggestions, thanks!

I also use a MTU and a mobile depot, to fit the salvaging modules after I finish the sites.
The fit is cap stable when not using the MWD too much. 600M ISK though, so maybe not so affordable.
If the incoming damage is too high, a booster can be used. So far I have been just using Synth Exile booster, was pretty enough to reinforce the tank.
Gauntlets - challenging, but not so hard. Haven’t tried soloing the Harvest sites, but they were doable with a Legion pilot companion.
With the same setup but fitting torpedo launchers and missile support mods, the DPS is lower, but has a good volley damage.
